software is very finicky. Serive departments are not user friendly

1st vehicle had to be replaced with another vehicle due to software malfunction. The second had a check engine light which i checked with the closer dealer. They did nothing but said to bring it in if it happens again. It happen again. Went to the dealer and they said they couldn't work on it for 2 weeks. Took it in and then they said I could not drive it. They kept my vehicle for 6 weeks. They did provide a rented vehicle and then a loaner, but I had to cancel a vacation because of crossing state lines and mileage. Not happy with service. They software is finicky. It seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes works great, sometimes not. The time for recalls is very annoying.

Outstanding car -- love, love, love it

Traded in my big Caddy XTS for my loaded GV70, and absolutely love it. Two of us just took it on a week long road trip. There was plenty of room for us, all our luggage and 2 sets of golf clubs. It was very comfortable. It is a joy to drive, and easy to park with all the assistance features. The size is perfect for 1-2 people. After 1 year of driving it, I haven't had a single problem.

Beautiful vehicle, unreliable and doesn't hold value.

Vehicle is beautiful! Love the interior and exterior. Unfortunately, I lived in the service department in Winston-Salem NC. I will say that I would have bought another Genesis; however, the service department at the dealership ruined that! Rude and unresponsive! I wasn't even offered to speak with a manager, and not that it would have helped. Left immediately with my car (not fixed) and traded for a Lexus. No one has followed up with me despite the endless reviews. Therefore, I would suggest that you look for another luxury vehicle where you get the service you pay for!!

Quality control could have been better

Upon receiving delivery didn’t immediately notice lift back not installed properly Difficult response for warranty repair in shop now has been for 10 days and no definite word on when repair will be completed maybe few more days

Almost perfect

it is a beautiful car but there are just a couple of items that need to be looked into to get it to GOD-Tier. Engine doesn’t pop, a little slow at the start, Apple CarPlay compatibility, c’mon!

great on all but gas mileage very disappointing

Love the tech, ride and just about everything. But I drive long distances (300+ miles every 5 months) and locally (25 miles + / day) and my average is 17.5 mpg. There is also ALWAYS white smoke (I don't think condensation) coming from the tailpipes. I live in southern CA at the beach where it rarely goes below 60 or above 75. I think this may effect the mileage but all tests show normal.

2025 GV70 Arthur Trefry

We purchased our new vehicle Aug 26, 2024. In September 2025, while driving home one evening in the dark after dinner, we encountered a neighbor in our development walking his dog. As we passed I gave the horn a little tap acknowledging him and drove on down the street. Within seconds he texted saying we had no taillights. When we got home I dropped my wife at the driveway and continued on down the street a couple hundred yards, turned around and returned. She confirmed we had no taillights. The brake lights did come on when I applied the brake but we had no running taillights. This is an extremely dangerous situation. We took the vehicle to the dealership and got nothing. Now, every time we drive after dark one of us has to stand on the street to confirm the taillights are working before we drive away. This is a dangerous and inconvenient situation especially if it's raining. What can you do for us? My email is atrefry@att.net. Honestly, I doubt I'll here from anyone.
