Great car, but needs a few tweaks to be the ultimate EV

Great handling, great acceleration. Huge interior with enough room for the entire family. Comfortable interior with great IT package. What's missing: (1) rear windshield wiper - cannot use the rear window during the rain or winter, because there is no wiper. (2) Why do I need to plug my phone in to use Android Auto/Car Play - improve the bluetooth so it just connects.

Great car, unreliable AC

I love the car, have 20,000 on it and have had it for a year now. It has been at the dealer for over a month now to fix the broken air conditioning. They can’t figure it out and have replaced many parts. I didn’t purchase a car to have it spend 1 month out of 12 months at the shop unfortunately. Besides that it has been a great car.

Fun to drive

I'm enjoying not gassing up. No maintenance. Comfortable interior. Heats and cools quickly. The exterior is very interesting to people not familiar with this car and really like it!

Love my car

Love not having to change gears. Lots of power for mountain driving. Love no oil changes. Love not having to buy gas. Economical with only $20 month electric cost.

Not great for Cold states

Since this car has no idle battery conditioning it requires a rather poor system of using the built in map directing you to a fast charger for it to start conditioning the battery for charging. The longest i tested was for 45 minutes of travel and it still took the car an extra 15 minutes while charging to finally ramp up to an okay charge speed. Spending an hour and a half at a charger in winter to go from 20% to 80% is not great. Find some way to allow me to condition the battery while not driving and give me some notification that it is ready to charge. Summer is fine but in a state that spends half the year in below freezing, kind of a ruining feature for me.

Very Good EV Vehicle and experience

The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a stylish and comfortable EV vehicle. Its quick and agile and proves to be a capable daily cruiser. Love the fast charging aspects and the use of storage. The seats are also comfortable and the cabin is very quiet at highway speed. Though the 2025 now has a back wiper, this should have been standard at launch since the back window gets dirty! In addition, Hyundai needs to work on the software integration, it is basic for an EV and very much behind Tesla as an example. There should be more stats provided as an EV and native mapping when choosing destinations including charging stops along the way. Also for the AWD version, there should be 300 miles of range at 80% which is the sweet spot to avoid range anxiety. I have high hopes for future enhancements to this vehicle and hopes Hyundai continues to make thoughtful improvements.

Overall look futuristic. Full charge gives me 250 to 320 miles. Inside is comfortable and spacious. The trunk is big enough. I love it.

Love the car. Hate the 12 volt battery.

Rating would be 5 stars if the 12 volt battery hasn’t died 4 times in as many months. I have to put a trickle charge battery on it every time I’m going to leave it for more than 24 hours. And no one has any answers.
