2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid

I love this SUV. It’s a perfect size, gets decent gas mileage and comfortable to drive or ride in. I love the built in floor mats and rear area mat. I sometimes have trouble with getting my phone to conneybut that could be my fault.

Wonderful vehicle

Other than some idiosyncrasies, the vehicle is very comfortable, drives nicely, and gets great MPG's averaging 30 to 35. The new technologies took a little while to master, but once learned, it is great.

Replaced 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe with 2025 Tuscon Hybrid

Very comfortable and easy to drive. Roomy interior and quiet cabin. Complicated Infotainment panel with a mind of its own. Driving modes are easy to accidentally change and Shift to Sport mode occurs frequently.Center console is stationary and not set up well. Seat settings don't always keep the preset. Lots of trunk and storage space. No spare tire.

After 3000 miles.. Still doing 26.8 Mpg. When i spent 43k for a Límited Hybrid Tucson i was expecting much better gas mileage

Almost 5 Stars

The only complaint I have is the “safety feature” that monitors if your eyes are on the road. It only works if you are using the cruise control and the lane assist at the same time, but then it will automatically turn both of them off. I dislike this feature very much as it is a total nuisance, but I’ve been told that there is no way to disable it.

Great vehicle but still has quirks.

I own this for almost 5 months. As a 1st time Hyundai and hybrid owner, I’m impressed by the build quality. Yet there are a couple things mechanically that need to be addressed. I have driven a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and the switch from electric to gas motor when driving is much less noticeable compared to the Tucson. When the Tucson is in electric mode and coasting and when I apply slight braking when it switches to gas it feels like it jerks into gear at times. Also another quirk is when using the downhill braking feature and when regen switches off because the battery is at capacity it basically turns off the downhill braking as well and the gas engine revs really high due to shifting to the lower gear at times.there should be some sort of programming to let the downhill braking feature have the electric motors stay on when the regen turns off when batteries are at capacity. Fuel mileage is not really as advertised…but can be due to multiple factors . Safety wise I think the upper rear taillights should be illuminated along with the bottom ones to make it more visible to other drivers increasing safer braking distances. Aesthetically I know my Blue line the rear hatch “LED” bar doesn’t light up and is for the higher trim lines, that should just be standard for ALL trim lines.

Tuscon hybrid offers many customizable features.

I do not like all black interiors in cars....shows too much dirt. Also the location of buttons on the console between the front seats are a problem....they are accidentally activated by resting your hand on the console. A different location for those buttons would greatly improve this vehicle. My husband and I also dislike the tire inflation kit and prefer having a spare tire in case of a flat. Also do not like all the safety features, especially the coffee cup icon.

Excellent build quality and driveability

The car has excellent build quality, it has lived up to it's advertised miles per gallon rating currently getting just over 34 mpg. Which I think is great for a brand new car that isn't broke in yet with less than 1300 miles on it. I am very pleased with the interior and the display. Ease of customization of the infotainment system. I look forward to many years of driving experience in this car.

Excellent vehicle, smooth ride, but has a couple of ticks

We truly like our new Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited for it's comfort level, ride quality, and roominess (we are in our late 70s). But there is one recurring issue with the electronics; various parts of the electronic dash turn off and back on while driving. This does not affect the operation of the vehicle, just the ability to be able to see all the display items.

Defective dashboard display and heads up display

Dashboard display and heads up display keeps going off and on. The dealer replaced the unit and it still keeps turning off an on. Sometimes the HUD will come back on but it's position has to be completely readujsted so I can see it.

Great Vehicle

I love everything about my 2025 Tucson Hybrid. It handles great, looks great, and gets good mileage. The dislikes are that my collision sensors never work in the morning; they show on my dash as not working for about 30-45 minutes if it’s cold or damp.(?) Also, the mileage is rarely better than 33.6 mpg; not bad, but not as advertised either (35-38mpg). Lastly, my Apple play frequently disconnects for no reason, even when I leave my phone in the car when I run in somewhere.(?) The dealership said to let them know when it happens again (they’ve only witnessed the event once on my last service), but for a vehicle with under 5k miles, I shouldn’t be having any problems in my opinion. I love the Hyundai brand, and my Tucson, the aesthetics, panoramic sunroof, and features are wonderful; this is simply as comprehensive a review as possible.

Tuscon safety issues

The Tuscon hybrid feels like a luxury car to drive. It’s very quiet and adequately powered. My mileage avg. over 4 months driving is 36 mpg. However, the 2025 Tuscon has what I feel are some SERIOUS safety problems listed below. I am not recommending any 2025 Tuscon to anyone until these problems are fixed! Throttle limit. Ex 1.Several times while stopped at traffic lights on hiway speed, multi lane county roads, while resting my hands on the middle of the steering wheel, the cruise button was unknowingly pressed. The light turned green, rear traffic was coming up at 50mph on both sides but my throttle was unresponsive being Hyundai programmed to 20 mph max when cruise is pressed while stopped There is no way to disable this feature on the 2025 Tuscon. Ex. 2 The drive mode button is very easily bumped and sets the car to “snow” mode and limits throttle response. Driver diversion Ex. 3 Every time I drive this car, with or without sunglasses, I get an audible, flashing alarm saying “consider taking a break.” multiple times is a row, sometimes just minutes apart. There is no way to disable this alarm on the 2025 model Tuscon. On one occasion, the display alarm took my eyes off the road long just enough to miss seeing a junk water heater roll off a truck in front of me. Extreme evasive action was required to miss hitting it. There is no way to disable this alarm on the 2025 model Tuscon
