Cracked right rear luggage trim (200 miles)

After bringing the car home I noticed a crack in the rear trim panel near the seat release handle. The sales said they would pay for the labor if I paid for the part. Honestly we never opened the rear hatch until I noticed the crack ( only from an angle when you lean into the car).

One little glitch

It seems like every time I get into some rain it tells me there is something wrong with my front collision detector. I just ignore it until I am out of rain and I drive slower in rain anyway.

Good solid vehicle with lots of electronics

I love the gas mileage you get from this car. It is as it is advertised. The electronics are mostly what is advertised. I had a little problem deciphering on how to best use the infotainment center. Front seat is very comfortable which is important for me. I don't like the silver band that is on the outside of the back. I think it detracts from the style. I wish the outside temperature numbers were bigger. I do like the feature where you can speak many commands into the system.

The need for a fingerprint is a bit of a nuisance, after a while.

Great styling both inside and outside. Comfort is really good. The cameras and visibility are great.

Great car, but some seats could use improvement

Overall, it's a great car - nice power, spacious and excellent technology. Somehow the seats in this car give me an achy back though on long drives - it use a little more of a curve to support the back. Also the seats could use more bolstering - I find myself sliding around when I make a turn. Also the headrest pushes my neck too far forward causing shoulder discomfort.

Excellent vehicle with Some Difficulties

We need a higher ground clearance vehicle; like many others, we found the crossover SUV to be the right choice. After test driving and studying, the Tucson Hybrid LTD was what we really enjoyed. It took 4 tries to fix a defect in the touch screen instrument cluster, but it appears that it is fixed and everything operates correctly. I have heard similar stories from owners of new vehicles made by other manufacturers. The Service Department treated us very well; the Customer Care Manager was really helpful. We did go through a completely avoidable hassle getting the trade-in vehicle paid off. I learned that according to my source, someone at Honda Finance either said, or left the impression that I had issued an NSF check, which is a completely false accusation. Instead of speaking with me (I had a download showing around 5 years of auto pay car payments after a massive down payment; but hey, I am just the customer.) the assumption was made apparently that I tried to mislead the sales manager (I had shown the exact payoff to the sales associate when I made the down payment); during the deal closing the sales manager was very "casual." I should also add that my credit rating is about 850. It was stressful enough having to deal with what seemed to be an unfixable vehicle and a case "manager" at Hyundai USA who made several promises and then didn't deliver. This whole process was way too difficult.

Every car should be built this way.

I’ve been a “car guy” for decades. I’m very critical about “drivability” - performance of intended purpose, acceleration, handling, braking, solid feeling, smooth riding… this car does all those things well. I’ve long thought that a turbo hybrid is the right way to build a car. The good mileage for a 4-wheel drive car (35+mpg) plus a reasonable price is a bonus.

Like Bluey’s mom my car, Chilli, is safe, dependable and a great car. I drove my last car for 20 years and I am very happy my 2nd car in my life is a Hyundai Tucson. Chilli is a wonderful car and she makes my long work commute tolerable.

The miles per gallon much better.

Nice looking exterior and interior. I had a problem with the Navigation over the first two mos but finally worked the kinks out. Not sure why it took so long.
