I've recommended DPA in the past and am happy to do it again because they've done a great job with my
car for years! Point in case: I recently had to go to my dealership for a free recall repair, but they tried to make me think I needed more than $1,000 of addictional work. They also missed two things I actually needed. I took the list to DPA, and they cut the list way down to three things I actually needed. The costs were less than a third of the dealership's prices. On background, I'm no mechanic but used to work for Porsche cars, so I'm not unfamiliar with automotive technology and business. That may be why I didn't fall for the dealer's upsell. BTW, if you prefer a mechanic with a fancy waiting room and free coffee, remember that you're paying for them with higher repair prices. This shop focuses on competent repairs and maintenance. That's what you want. Good coffee is half a block away at Waller's.
