A Gem

Luxury, comfort, performance and safety wrapped up in an exhilarating experience. Technology and comfort allow you to feel like your in your Living Room. Performance from the twin turbo 3.3 engine in my G70 is exhilarating. On the highway you need to check your speed as 80 feels like 60. With the heads up display you never have to take your eyes off the road.

G70 3.3 AWD SP

Very little to complain about, the biggest complaint I have is the suspension seems to take bumps a little more fragile than others. Took me a while to notice but very minor. Seats are a little stiff but again I’m being picky overall they are still very good. Gas mileage could be slightly better but still I achieve better than advertised 23.8mpg over the last 5,000 miles hwy and city mix. Backseat could be better. Lastly my golf clubs don’t fit when my driver is in my golf bag, have to remove my driver to get clubs into trunk.

Beats out any European luxury car, very overlooked sedan

The Genesis G70 out performs any European luxury oil burners. I would stack it up against any comparable sedan in its class.

Amazing overall

Amazing car overall like all Genesis models. Great bank for your buck. Only gripes are the lack of wireless Carplay and android auto and the engines could use a little more power, all competitors offer better performance.

It's so so?

I had bigger expectations and thought I would like it more. The back seat is way too small. For a Turbo engine, the vehicle is not as fast as I expected.

Genesis G70

Great car to drive. Be aware the trunk holds almost nothing. Gas milage is poor. The car was delivered without a spare tire. My tires blow out fairly regularly. I learned the hard way that Genesis does not provide Genesis road side assistance. Instead, they use AAA. AAA has proven to be extremely unreliable. They will gladly leave you overnight stranded on a road. This is in Broward County Fl. I knew the car had a tiny trunk. I knew it did not get good milage. However, the tire issue and the roadside assistance was a big surprise. If you are a working person and need to get to work the tires are unpredictable. I had the Elantra model or 10 years. It never stranded me with flat tires.

The Genesis G70 is a beautiful, fun to drive car. The car has a lot of luxury features for half the price of comparable vehicles. The vehicle has a sporty look and feel and I love the speed that the car is capable of reaching.

Great Performance

My G70 is a great looking vehicle that is fun to drive and has plenty of power and great handling. It is solidly built and well appointed. The driving compartment is quite comfortable and all necessary controls are conveniently located. It is not always easy for me to get into the driver seat, and the back seat is not designed for full sized adult passengers. The truck also lacks space. One set of golf clubs can barely fit. Additionally, some safety features are more of an annoyance than help, particularly the backup camera which triggers too easily in tighter parking lots and is activated by objects not interfering with the drive path. The lane control feature is also a bit annoying when driving in certain road conditions (e.g. construction or repaired areas).

Love my sporty sedan. Just need a fully digital dash to be 5 stars.

Love the car and I hope Genesis continues to make the G70 model as I don't want an SUV right now and don't want to have to switch to a competitor as I feel the G80 & G90 are too big and boring looking. The 70 is the perfect size of a sporty sedan especially for a single person with no kids to tote around. The only thing that disappoints me is that the US version doesn't have a fully digital dash even though the overseas does. It doesn't make sense if the Sonata can have one, why does any of the Genesis models not have it. I also think it would be nice to have a more fun color option even if a teal that isn't too out there. Would be interested in a gas hybrid model and maybe fully electric depending on how easy it would be to find fill up stations, but gas hybrid would be my personal preference if were moving aways from gas only models.
