Went from a '21 G70 to a '25 G70

Why is Genesis increasing prices while removing features? Initially, I was looking at '26 models, and found that all the top-level options my '21 had were removed. No more quilted leather, no more heated rear seats, the interior a major downgrade. Luckily we found a new '25 still on a lot within 100 miles. While it wasn't our first choice of interior color, we went with this one instead. At least it still has the nicer interior with quilted leather, although Genesis had killed the rear seat heaters already. Why? What is the point of removing the features while raising prices? It used to be that Genesis was the way to get more features at better pricing than competitors. Now that Genesis is reversing that, what is the point? And now learning the G70 is going away and all Genesis will make are giant land yachts and SUVs, I am done as a Genesis customer. The G70 is the largest I will go. Keep it around, make a smaller car or a two door sporty coupe and I stay. But I didn't want a G80 or G90, and that won't change. I don't want an SUV, don't care about EVs. So Genesis is on a path for new customers while telling existing Genesis customers to kick rocks. So it appears this is my last Genesis.

Best in its class

I’ve had several 3 series BMW’s including an M3; an Audi S5, and also a supercharged Jaguar S-Type R. Hands down, my 3.3 G70 is the best vehicle overall for LESS money. Well built, all the latest technology and lots of power. Fun to drive.

Luxury Compact/Sports Sedan...On a budget *grins*

What we have here is a luxury compact sports sedan in the vain of BMW's 3 series or Lexus I series. This car has absolutely all the bells and whistles anyone could ask for. In fact, I've turned a couple of them off, it's too much for this old man ;) Is it fast? It's fast for normal cars...Fastest in it's segment?.. maybe not. But, recall, this is an entry level "Luxury/Sports Sedan" ...and with that in mind. This car hits a Homerun!

Not true luxury yet

There are glitches and misses in this car. For instance you still need a cord to connect to port if you prefer Google maps. You need to use that as the Nav system doesn’t redirect you in traffic

Premium, but not BMW

I started driving the vehicle back in may and I wanted a bit of time with the before I made my review. Ultimately I find the vehicle to feel great driving, I felt like the interior and the system was a bit dated compared to a modern BMW. The transmission is not smooth and the RPM gauge will Rev occasionally between gears one and two. I wish there is more distinct features with this car and I find it to look very similarly to a Honda or a Kia. I only make these comparisons because you are charging a premium price and to be quite honest with you I should have gotten a BMW. Ultimately the reason I purchased this vehicle was because of the driving experience but with the occasional issues with the transmission compiled with the other design flaws and technological deficiencies in the vehicle I think it is over priced and when my lease is up I will be visiting BMW or another actual premium brand.
