My Elantra

I am satisfied with my Elantra. At the time of purchase I wanted a Sonanta. There was one thing I did not like about the Sonata…. The ignition. It needs a push button like the Elantra. I was concerned about the strange ignition. I had heard it was a problem waiting to happen. I have previously owned a Sonata and it is still going strong. (2012). The new Elantra is packed with so many safety features. This is the main reason for purchasing the one I have. And it is very sharp looking!

I hate all the automations & warnings

The old Elantra had just the right amount of software built into it, this one is constantly buzzing or beeping about something dumb & you can't turn most of it off permanently. On long trips it tells you to take a break every 10 min even if you just took a break. When you're trying to parallel park it has aggressive audio & haptic warnings that are disruptive enough to be genuinely dangerous & sensitive enough to alert you about objects that are nowhere near your vehicle. Before all this extra nonsense in the car I genuinely loved my previous Elantra, it was fun to drive & great value.

Elantra Review

No real complaints thus far. However I have the same issue on this Elantra that I had with my 2012 Sonata. The clips used to hold the front bumper on fail and there is a bulge out that requires a push back into place a couple of times a week.
