Technologically Amazing!

I am very impressed with our 2026 Hybrid AWD Calligraphy Palisade. It has more features than most like vehicles, even the luxury ones. Both my wife and I are excited to drive the vehicle every time we get into it...and there are no arguments over who is driving or passenger, because both get to enjoy the experience! As a driver, there is not much I have to do when in cruise control mode, except "touch" the steering wheel. The adaptive cruise control is intuitive and the other features are just overwhelming! We have really enjoyed the vehicle, and there is very little I can say that doesn't meet our expectations. This is our first Hyundai, and I may have just found a car brand I really like! Even the dogs approve!

Many great design and comfort features. Would like more control to preset the info screen to start on personally selected screen and believe every XM radio screen should display the artist and song name. Would also like better fuel mpg from the Hybrid (similar to Toyota Hylander.

Recall concerns

We have experienced a dangerous situation with the 2nd and 3rd row seats, they moved while in the down position and one of the seats moved forward until it pierced through an aerosol can of air sanitizer and and neither of us knew what happened until we went to retrieve a bag from out of the vehicle. This was very shocking and has us concerned!

Big Beast, Wonderful Ride

I've only had the vehicle since the end of January (about 2 months) so I can't comment on long term quality, but thus far I haven't had any problems. I came from a 2022 Santa Fe Limited hybrid to a Calligraphy hybrid. Of course there are major differences inherent in the different models, but here are some observations between the two from an overall viewpoint. This generation Palisade feels much larger/wider. This is both a blessing and a curse - it feels much more luxurious, but is more of a pain to park. The Palisade rides much better than the Santa Fe. I wonder if the ride could be further improved if it didn't come standard with such low profile tires. Finally the mileage isn't as good as advertised, but it's still better than most other SUVs of this size. Thus far I have been getting 26 - 29 Hwy, and have seen low 30's around town with a light throttle. Another thing that pleasantly surprised me is the power. With the hybrid powertrain you have plenty of power on-tap. The I-4 engine w/turbo is a torque monster, especially at lower RPMs. The road noise is much reduced compared to the Santa Fe, even with the sun roof popped up. The transmission has been pretty smooth for the most part, although there has been a little delay/jerkiness around stop lights when the vehicle is barely moving and you give it throttle. There are some quirks that I'm getting used to. For example, the easy exit seat feature on the Santa Fe started when you started and stopped the engine. In the Palisade it doesn't happen until you open the door, and it doesn't seem to go as far. I don't see a difference between the normal and extended positions either. The Highway Driving Assist (HDA) automatically comes on any time I initiate the cruise control on a major freeway, I would prefer that it came on if I have cruise control active AND I select lane centering. However, these are nit picks. Overall I am pleased with the Palisade and hope that it's as dependable as my previous Hyundai vehicles.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my Hyundai Palisade due to ongoing reliability and safety concerns. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have had to take it back to the dealership approximately 6–7 times, primarily a recurring issue with the 12V battery continuously discharging. This problem has not only been inconvenient but also raises serious safety concerns, as the vehicle has failed to start on multiple occasions. Despite repeated visits, the issue remains unresolved, which is both frustrating and unacceptable for a vehicle in this price range. I expected a higher level of quality and dependability, but my experience has been the opposite. At this point, I have lost confidence in the vehicle and would not recommend it based on my experience.

Should not have bought a first-year model.

I really wanted to like this car, but I'm losing enthusiasm for it by the day. It's very stylish and makes a very good first impression on the test drive. Gas mileage is a little lower than expected but not a deal-breaker. The seat fix for the recall is awful, and Hyundai needs to fix their fix; the second row button for 3rd row access is now confusing and useless, and graying out but not removing the seat-folding options in the infotainment screen is obnoxious and just reminds buyers what they bought but no longer have. The dash rattles when the ambient temperature is between 45 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit, which unfortunately for me is a large portion of the year where I live. I already know the dealership isn't going to fix that under warranty, and I'm afraid of letting them tear the dash apart on my own dime, lest they introduce more rattles or disconnect a wiring harness. I don't even have 2500 miles on the car yet, so developing a rattle so soon is disappointing. I may take it to a body shop and see if they can fix it. Under brisk acceleration the transmission tends to hesitate and lurch between gears. I think it's just working as designed, but it reminds me of driving a 1980's Chevy van. If you drive it slow with <1/4 throttle, it's very smooth. The HDA system feels like a step down from the drive assist in my Kia Stinger, particularly the lane centering; the Palisade wants to hug the left of the lane much too close for comfort, and I'm constantly fighting the system when it's active which makes highway trips unnecessarily tiring. The LKAS in my MY2019 Kia Stinger did a notably better job of centering the car and following the lane than this MY2026 Palisade does. I bought the dynamic welcome light patterns from the BlueLink store, and after taking 2 weeks to install, they don't work right, and Hyundai support says that's my problem and will neither fix it nor refund me. It's only $50, but Hyundai's handling of the whole thing has left me with a taste of what it's going to be like when I need warranty work, which also tells me I need to get rid of this thing before that happens. If Hyundai either fixed or refunded my BlueLink purchase, fixed their seat recall so it's less obnoxious, and issued a calibration update for HDA to properly center the car in the lane, I'd be pretty happy with the car. That said, I don't see Hyundai going out of their way to fix the issues this car has now that they have my money. My advice to would-be Palisade buyers is to wait a couple of years for Hyundai to work the bugs out; this car isn't fully baked yet.
