Love The New Palisade Hybrid

This is the most comfortable car we have owned and the new hybrid motor option makes this vehicle cheaper to drive (530 miles to a tank) and much smoother to drive through the hills of TN and NC. Our grandchildren love the larger 3rd row. Overall a wonderful vehicle!

Overall Thoughts

Overall, the vehicle is very good to excellent. My Calligraphy Hybrid would benefit to a few changes and or additions that would be helpful to passenger comfort and to passenger use of vehicle which is extremely important. Floor lighting in all rows and cup holder lighting would be helpful. The ambient lighting and ceiling lighting is fine but adding lighting on the floor in all three rows would be helpful. The amount of leg/knee room for the front passengers needs improvement. Taller passengers have a cramped feeling as the front seats either don’t move back far enough or the glove box and steering area is too low for leg/knee space. The steering column should be powered on the Calligraphy model. When gaining access to the third row of seats, the electronic movement of the second row captain chair needs to be much faster. Passengers wait too long for the second row captain chairs to move for third row access. A full size spare tire m, like in the gas model. would be much better than the tire mobility kit that is worthless or marginal at best. I had a tire issue that ended with me buying 4 new tire because the tire that was damaged was damaged beyond repair and the tires that came with the car were not available. The Pirelli tire warranty was an 2018 warranty and I was told was old and of absolutely no value and this was on a brand new 2026 Palisade Hybrid vehicle with only 1400 miles. Lastly, the electric motor is too loud. When starting the car, the electric motor comes on and is very noticeable and too loud it quiets some in time but is much too loud. The vehicles electric charging motors need sound insulation or quieter motors. The quality of the carpet is of low quality. Very thin nap and does not take wear well. Time will tell how bad it truly is. I now have 4500 miles on my 2026 Palisade Calligraphy Hybrid.

Inconsistent behavior

I like the way it drives but there are a few things that drive me nuts about this vehicle. Note that I never use the actual key fob - just my phone. 1) some days when I walk up to it iwt hmy phone it unlocks the doors, other days it does not 2) Some days I have to actually put my phone in the wireless charger cradle in order to turn on the car other days not 3) I permanently keep a bike race on my car so EVERY SINGLE TIME i turn the car on I have to press the button to deactivate the rear safety system once and then again for 3 seconds. OMG so annoying because I forget and then I reverse out of my driveway and it immediately stops - quite suddenly 4) I have android and my wife has an iphone so she cannot use her phone to use the car and has to use the key fob. OMG again. We are in 2026. Not all families have the same type of phone. 5) Lane keep assist is not very good at all. To the point I can't really trust it. 6) Cruise control is too "violent" for example if i am at 45mph and it is set to 65mph it will accelerate too hard to get to 65mph. I would like to be able to adjust how fast it accelerates in these situation or have a setting to preset how it behaves.

Melba's Palisades Caligraphy Hybrid

We are thoroughly enjoying our Caligraphy Hybrid. Moving from a GMC Yukon to the Palisades was a slight change because of the difference in size. However, we have adjusted quite well in that endeavor. It is an absolute pleasure to drive and ride in our Palisades.

Nice vehicle disappointed in the ride and the Hyundai customer service

Great vehicle however mine has a driveline shake that occurs between 38-62 MPH that the dealer acknowledges and Hyundai is telling the dealer not to work on it because it is "performing as designed". I have never heard of a vehicle designed to bounce or shake at any speed

I really like my Palisade

I really like my Palisade. The exterior appearance is growing on me. I think the vehicle drives very well. Love the interior and its comfort. Feels like I’m driving a luxury car. Primarily have driven in the city so far and would like for the mpg to be a little better there.

Hybrid stats WAY overinflated — false advertising

I keep seeing palisade ads boasting (up to) 35-36 mpg. I understand those are perfect driving conditions so I expected around 30 or at least high 20s... I've been getting low 20's. Like 22mpg of granny driving on eco mode. I was complaining to my friend who has a super boxy jeep and he was averaging 18.5. Why did I pay extra for the hybrid?! This is stupid.

DON'T BUY! Computer fried just by sitting in my driveway for a week.

Died by sitting in my driveway for two weeks in below freezing temperatures. Not only did the battery die, but it somehow also fried the hybrid system. Would not recommend to anyone.

Loving our new Palisade Hybrid

To start, this has to be the nicest vehicle we have ever owned. We love the exterior styling and the interior is very luxurious, more so than a Cadillac we previously owned. The ride is smooth and it’s super quiet, ideal for our longer road trips. We feel the Palisade was a great value and are pleased we went with the Hybrid. The hybrid gets up and goes and the mileage is great.

Nice looks, nice ride, nice features but the turbo is insufficient

The ride and comfort in the Palisade Hybrid is very nice, as well as the amenities. However, for interstate travel, it needs more power and at least an eight-speed transmission. I was only able to get 21 mpg at interstate speeds. I'd prefer a non-turbo gasoline engine similar to the engine in the non-hybrid version paired with an eight-speed transmission rather than a six-speed.
