Hyundai does not stand by their cars.

I had an engine electrical problem at 450 miles. They wanted to charge me over $5000. to repair a vehicle that I owned for 3 weeks. Hyundai had this car for 4 months after manufacture. This was my second Hyundai. It will surely be my last. Hyundai does not stand by their cars. They do not take care of their customers.

I turned in a 2011 Sonata that gave me many years of good service. This is why I wanted another Sonata, but this time a hybrid. I also wanted red, and the Sonata red color is beautiful.

Hybrid Hyundai Sonata Blue

This is a base model car without a lot of bells and whistles, but it's a great car and gets excellent mileage. It accelerates nicely from a stop, but mine struggles to accelerate smoothly from 35-45 mph and particularly when going uphill. The interior is roomy and the trunk is huge. It is a comfortable car for 5 passengers. The driver doesn't have a lot of extra headroom (I'm 5'5" and have a long torso) so it may not work well for very tall people. I bought it primarily for the mileage and excellent warranty. It looks good and I'm happy with the features and set up (even though the Blue model doesn't have many extra features). It drives nicely and I am happy with it overall.

Biggest issue is that I have to select Favorites every time I start the car. Ridiculous. The default should always remain with my favorites. Like every other car I’ve had. Can’t believe a software fix cannot take care of this issue. It also doesn’t remember where I left off on my Apple Carplay music. Another issue is with how it lacks any pep in “sport” mode. Really jacks up the RPMs when punching it.
