This is the kinda place you think about when you’re down and you’re stuck and you just need something
to go right. I spoke to a real person who really owns the place and has real experience passed down from a real person. Easy to talk to, forthcoming, communicative, helpful, friendly, and just plain fair. The service was quick and well done, the facility modern and professional. Here is the good ol’ shop with the trusty mechanic who always comes through. I wish we had something like these guys back home, but places like this aren’t around much anymore.

Brought van in for what we thought might be an oil leak and possible power steering. Discovered ind
eed needed to replace power steering. Also adked them to look at the latch on the back door cause we could t open it. They were able to find a part for it(the van is a 2004) and now works good as new.

Jason is very pleasant to deal with and does an excellent job of guiding you through the process from
scheduling, diagnosis, explaining the needed repairs/cost estimate/completion time estimate. If there are complications during the repair process, these are quickly explained.
There’s no beating around the bush. The honesty is paramount.
While we were on a family vacation in the Adirondacks, my wife’s Toyota Sienna broke down. It was Wed
nesday, and we needed to drive back to North Carolina on Saturday, so we were in a real pinch.
I called several repair shops around Old Forge, but most could not fit us in, and those that could were unable to guarantee the repair would be completed in such a short time. Nimey’s was busy as well, but after we explained our situation, they assured us they would do their best to have the van ready by Saturday.
They made us a priority and completed the work on Friday, replacing the rear brake pads, rotors, and wheel bearing. The price was reasonable, and we never felt that they were trying to take advantage of our situation or sell us repairs we did not need.
Darrel (sorry if I spelled your name wrong, buddy) was a wonderful representative of the shop. He was very friendly, professional, and pleasant to work with.
Hopefully, we will not need another repair while on vacation, but if we do, we would choose this shop again in a heartbeat. They really got us out of a tight spot.
