I am not someone who usually writes reviews, but this is serious — please read.
I went to A&D on Wednesday for an oil change. Yes, they mainly focus on collision repairs, but they also advertise oil changes and even offer a free one for first-time customers. So I went. For context, my tires are new and have never given me any issues — until after this visit.
By Friday, while driving on the highway, I noticed something felt off with my front driver’s side tire. I don’t know a lot about cars, but it didn’t seem serious enough to stop immediately, so I planned to get it looked at on Monday.
But today, while pulling into my work parking lot, the front tire completely flew off. I had to call a tow truck. When the tow truck guys inspected it, they told me every single one of my lug nuts on ALL FOUR tires was loose.
Let me repeat that: EVERY. SINGLE. LUG NUT. WAS LOOSE.
How is that even possible after a simple oil change at a repair and collision shop — especially when my tires were perfectly fine before and have been recently replaced within the last year? The only shop my car has been to recently is A&D.
The tow truck crew said if that tire had flown off on the highway, my car could have flipped and I could have been seriously injured or killed. That is not just negligence — that is playing with someone’s life. I’m a 21-year-old woman who admittedly doesn’t know much about cars, but I’ve since learned that some shady repair shops intentionally damage cars so they can make more money on repairs.
My car’s front end is now completely destroyed. I’ve had to file an insurance claim. I am furious, heartbroken, and still in shock that someone could do something so reckless and dangerous.
Please — DO NOT go here.
This isn’t just a bad review — this is a terrifying, life-threatening situation I barely escaped from. I’m incredibly lucky I’m okay. My car, unfortunately, is not.
