Ryan was the technician. Ryan as usual did an incredible job. The car drives so much better.
Ryan went to the extra step of showing me something I didn’t realize re: my alternator.
Because I intend to get the timing belt soon replaced & have already bought a new timing belt & other associate parts, Ryan showed me that a bolt that is connected to the alternator has basically broken off.
Because he is going to need to take off temporarily the alternator to get to the timing belt components, he recommended just getting a new alternator. It would be very difficult & time consuming to bore out or tap out that broken bolt & then rethread the alternator for it to be able to take a new bolt.
It makes sense because it will save me $ on the labor in the long run. I am going to probably need a new alternator eventually.
