Sunroof leak

Play unprofessional, but will rip you off
My check engine light came on so I took my car to Accurate Auto Services to be looked at. I am not a car person so I don’t know what the price of repairs are supposed to be. I was called and told that I would have to pay Just over $1200 to have my vapor canister purge solenoid replaced. That was it. Being stuck without a car and having nothing else to go by for what is fair I had them go ahead and complete the service. When researching parts and labor after I received my itemized bill, my research is telling me I have been vastly ripped off. I was told I needed an OEM part, no problem. The highest price vapor canister, purge solenoid OEM part that I could find was just under $100. I also googled how difficult it is to replace the purge solenoid since my labor charges were so high. On my vehicle, this is an easy to access component and apparently you don’t have to be a master mechanic to replace something like this. So I was charged $563.78 for the vapor canister purge solenoid OEM part and $461.85 for labor to put on the purchase solenoid. Additionally, I was charged $153.95 for the inspection of my vehicle $25 shop supply fee and a $5 material fee. The three later charges seem fair to me. I drive a 2014 Ford Explorer. It’s definitely nothing fancy. They got the two stars because they did get me in almost right away and had my car repaired by the next day. They were al also courteous, which means nothing if they are looking you in your eye and ripping you off. Date of service for reference was 5/7/25.

Always Great Service!
I have five vehicles, and they service each one of them. I have been a customer since the early 90's. I just had the 90K service done on my Honda Accord. Great job again, the car continues to run great.
