Over priced and not fixed
I have used Adams a few times over the years and you were my shop and had earned my trust. I will most likely not ever use you again after this visit, you will definitely not be the first shop i call anymore. Brought in for coolant leak, After hours of inspection, test drives, cleaning and re-inspecting, i knew the leak was coming from radiator. I will admit i could have been more direct at drop off with saying i was positive it was the actual radiator. But i assume yiu dont like customers like that and trusted you to just do what you do. I can only assume during pressure testing the actual radiator leak was not noticed to the point the pressure got so high it blew the thermostat housing. The leak was previously never by that area, never on the belt and i cleaned and rechecked many times, i probably looked at the thermostat area 20 times. Approved $675 to fix, which is nuts for how easy that is but whatever i approved. I even told my wife i bet we will still be leaking because that didnt make any sense with what i saw during my inspection, but again you had my trust from previous experiences. During that call other recommendations were given and between the $675 for the housing and $495!!! for trans fluid i knew he was just bending me over. Said just do the $675 to be done. Later texted that it will now be $1400 more because it was in fact the radiator which is what i said when i dropped off….i get that you have to pressure test, i get that things can go wrong with them, i am not even upset about having to fix the thermo housing…i am upset by the service writer saying nothing can go wrong like that during pressure testing, paying $675 for it and being quoted $495 for trans fluid. It is obvious that things have changed there and you can no longer have my unquestioned trust.
