Did not do any kind of new vehicle safety inspection, and placed the sticker on the windscreen tint itself, instead of the cut out, causing permanent damage.
I went to get my new Tesla Model Y inspected. I have a windscreen tint which is legal in PA placed by Tesla's authorized tint partners. They charged me $60 for a new vehicle inspection without even checking anything. When they were about to place the inspection sticker, I told him there is a cut out in the tint for the sticker, and while ignoring me they placed a sticker on the tint itself ( I have never had anyone place a windscreen sticker while standing outside of the vehicle). If they would have bothered to sit in the vehicle and do an inspection, then they would have been able to see the cutout.

I was told that another sticker will cost $60. The tint is damaged,. And now, I have to go back to the window tint place and pay $400 dollar for removal and placement of a new windscreen tint.

The worst part is not that I have to pay $400 dollar to get my tint redone, it's that they did not do any kind of safety inspection. Now the vehicle is blessed to have met the minimum safety standards. If this is the way that inspection is to be carried out, then why does the state bother to charge us for an inspection!
