Richard & The Team A. from Asher's Auto Sales Auto Mechanic responded on 09/05/2025 08:39 AM

Juan brought his personal truck and his work truck provided by the comapany he works for to us to get looked at because the check engine light was on, on his personal truck and his work truck was having oil presure issues. Juans personal truck after diagnosing needed spark plugs and coils. His work truck needed the oil pressure switch and sensor. He does not approve the work on his work truck the company does which we got approval for the repairs to move forward also stating with them that it could be a possible electrical issue because the oil pump is an electric oil pump but the cheapest thing to do is to replace the sensors first to verify if it could be the oil pump because the oil pump is a 30+ hour job. We got approval did the repair tested it, test drove it, tested the oil pressure with our advanced scanner. nothing came back eveything was okay, do you think if the truck needed more work that we wouldnt have said it was good to go and that we wouldnt have wanted to do a 30+ hour job? Yes we would have LOVED to do a 30+ hour job but we are an honest mechanic shop and the truck was showing good oil pressure and was not dropping after being driven. 2 months later that truck is showing low oil level please fill and can you guess where the oil level sensor is in the oil pan with the ELECTRIC OIL PUMP!! Now to juans personal truck. He gave us approval to replace the spark plugs and coils, how we diagnosed the misfires, we used our scan tool to read what cylinders the misfires were coming from, moved the coils around and the misfire FOLLOWED THE COIL!! So juan comes to pick up both trucks once repairs are done, only paying for his persoanl truck which was $800 parts and labor. Was charged for a coil pack, spark plugs, and the labor for install the parts were the majority of the cost. He didnt txt me about the work truck having any more issues but he did txt about his truck shortly after saying the check engine light came on. Which we told him to bring it back so we could see whats going on he never did. TWO months later he brings it back and his personal truck is a Chevy Silverado Hybrid with the LS MOTOR!! He said my truck is making a weird noise and i need it looked at, he dropped off his work truck too because its a no crank no start. We check his personal truck and a lifter has collapsed, so it needs new lifters and a camshaft, the truck wasnt just making a noise it was shaking and it just sounded horrible we wouldnt even run the truck because of how bad it sounded when you turned it on. if you know anythig about these trucks and engines its a big job to do lifters and a camshaft, i told him wat we had found and what was wrong, he asked me how much is that gonna cost i put a quick rough qoute together and qouted him around $7k when he heard that, thats when it was all down hill. He started freaking out and getting hostile with us trying to blame us for his trucks internal failure. So now he's lying posting bad reviews anywhere he can acting like a child for something thats not our fualt and out of our control. His work truck needed a little more than just a battery, needed an oil change because it was 3-4 qaurts low on oil, needed a TPMS sensor, the company he works for approved the repairs, we didnt even ask for a diagnostic fee they threw in a little extra labor time for diagnostic on it. We hae to call ad get approval for this stuff before we do it and on the other side of the phone is another tech that works for them that approves repairs and labor time and what not. We didnt just charge 1200 just because. Again Juan is upset that his personal truck needs basically a rebuild and wants to take all the big emotions he is feeling out on us. If he ran his work truck which holds 8 qaurts of oil, low 4 quarts of oil, how do you think he treats his personal truck?
