Overcharged for an unnecessary $320'Level 2' diagnostic test when I stated from the beginning that I was having brake issues. I did not need to be charged for being told I need to have my headlights scrubbed or my air filter needed to be changed.
I was quoted 2,500 for a repair job to the brakes but was told they might break stuff while taking apart my brake system because it was old and that would cost extra. When I explained that I could not afford the cost and that I would be picking up my vehicle, the agent on the phone took on a hostile, nasty tone saying these repairs needed to be done. I again said that I didn't have the money so the agent said they would text me when the car was put back together.
I received a rude text shortly after and when I arrived to pick up my car, the agent was very unkind. I was in tears but he told me again that I shouldn't drive my car.
I took my vehicle to a mechanic shop around the corner and showed them the report I was given. They did the repairs for $850 and said that some of the things mentioned in the diagnostic report weren't even an issue and 2 items did not require replacing.
I wouldn't go there if every auto shop in the world was closed. I'd rather walk.
