Mr. Munoz,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience at Borker Transmission Service Inc.
When your vehicle arrived, your concern was a transmission fluid leak. We never discussed anytime about a broken cylinder. We explained to you very clearly that it might take until the following day to inspect your vehicle. Due to our work load.
Our inspection found that the transmission was slipping, was approximately three quarts low on fluid, and leaking between the engine and transmission. We explained that the transmission would need to be removed for further inspection to determine what was causing the leak. We advised you of the expected repair cost, along with the possibility that additional internal damage could be found due to the vehicle’s age, mileage, and condition.
Your vehicle had 262,384 miles at the time of inspection. Given the mileage, the fact that it had been driven low on transmission fluid, and the slipping condition we found, we shared our professional opinion that investing a significant amount of money into the vehicle might not be the best decision. We never told you that we would not repair your vehicle. The decision to move forward with repairs was always yours.
At your request, we contacted your warranty company on your behalf. They informed us that the warranty policy had been purchased only three days before your vehicle was brought to our shop. After reviewing the claim, the warranty company determined the transmission issue was a pre-existing condition and denied coverage. That decision was made solely by the warranty company.
We understand that unexpected repairs can be frustrating. Our goal has always been to provide honest advice and quality service so our customers can make informed decisions. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify the circumstances and wish you the very best.
