I took my car into Cal's to have the AC checked. The mechanic 'crossed wires' starting a car fire totaling my car! I had just purchased the car a week earlier - I tried to talk to Cal about restitution -he was rude and dismissive saying 'what happened - happened, the insurance companies will have to deal with this' he never answered my emails or phone calls. The insurance companies pay for a small portion of the car's value - I had requested, from Cal restitution for the actual, documented cost of car

Current customer ripped off
Sadly Cal has become a former shadow of itself. I was told the part would be $340 i go to collect and told its $440 I enquire i was told $340 and the guy said they mis- ordered the part and it cost $100 more... I said so you elected not to tell me and he said something to the effect of" i should have but didnt.." I look at the receipt each part was $100 and the labor was $200.. the truth being the part was priced correct he decided to add another $100 to the labor and lie to me to make an extra $100. So for the $100 you just lost a customer who comes three times a year with oil changes and other stuff, and refers people to you. yes not anymore you just made me go find another mechanic due overcharging and being greedy, had you told me that upfront i would have been okay but you lied flat out.... AVOID they will overcharge you to make extra money

Lucky to know them
My philosophy teacher once told us that "auto mechanics are the ambassador from hell".
It might apply to majority of them, but not for Cal.
He is always honest, sincere, professional and swift for any service.
I feel so lucky to know the shop.

It's hard to find a good mechanic. It's harder to find a good mechanic who's reasonably priced. Cal's is it. I have brought my last three cars there, and referred at several people there. In fact, he was referred to me.
