Salesman LIED!!
Our salesman lied to us and we had to BEG for a resign.

Long story, short:

We could not afford our monthly payment and wanted to leave and come back when we could put $4,000 down.

Our salesman Amir told us at that we could buy the car today and before our first payment we could call Hyundai Finance and have them add our $4,000 to a principal and they would reduce our monthly payment by over $100. During this time he was busy checking his phone bragging about how much money he was making on his stocks, how much his car payment is and how much he makes a year (VERY Off-putting) .So we went through the process, the finance manager agreed that we could do that. After Amir sent us to the finance manager we NEVER saw him again. He never thanked us, he didn't come out to show us where our car was, he didn't show us how to connect our phones to the car.

April 4, 2021

I called Hyundai Finance to apply $4,000 to our principal and reduce our monthly payment, and I was told they do not reduce monthly payments they will put our $4,000 on the backend of out contract and it will shorten our contract. I explained to them again what I was told I could do from my salesman and she told me sorry the only way to do that is to refinance and I said ok lets do that and she said "We don't do refinances" you have to go to another bank. She advised that I call back the dealer and see what they can work out for us.

April 4, 2021

I called Camelback Hyundai spoke with Sawyer explained to him the situation and he said Amir is no longer working their because of some of the same issues and he will call me back. During this conversation he assured me that they would work this out for me.

April 6, 2021

I drove down to Camelback Hyundai because I had not heard from Sawyer. When I walked in a salesman approached me, I asked him to point me to Sawyer. After talking to Sawyer I found out that my problem really hadn't been addressed yet, so he went into the back and about 20 minutes later Adriana Hollowa came out and asked me back to her office. She asked me what happen? So again I went through the whole story again and she said what can I do for you. I said you can make what Amir said to me true, she said the only way to do that is to refinance with another bank. After explaining to her how disappointed I was with this process and how I have been deceived and that I would have NEVER bought this car if I knew then what I knew now.

April 7, 2021

I received a call from someone named Kristyn from Camelback Hyundai and she said she called to talk to me about what was going on with my RE-finance and told me they don't handle refinances, I told her I was not refinancing, she said oh sorry I meant your lease, I said I don't have a lease, she said oh sorry I mean your short term loan, I said I don't have a short term loan, she hold on what is the issue, I asked her if she knew who she was calling and if she had any of my information in front of her?? To which she said hold on a minute, put me on hold, came back and that there was nothing they could do the loan was already approved. Then I told her about what Adriana told me she was going to do and I told her I had proof, I had a text message and I took pictures of the paperwork she worked up for me. I also told her that the finance manager we were working with confirmed with us what Amir said, she said I will call you right back. About 30 minutes later she called back and said yes, they would agree to have us do a re-sign allowing us to put $4,000 down, but she told me that the finance manager did NOT confirmed with me about what Amir told us. I told her that I was not lying, and she said I didn't say you did. Then I explained to her that if you tell someone that what they said is not true then you are pretty much calling them a liar. I told her I was looking for a better deal since I was told my monthly payments would be lowered by at least $100. a month, she said no that was the only thing they could do for me and I needed to come in as soon as possible to sign new paperwork. I reluctantly agreed to come in the next day at 9:00 am with Clayton so we could sign the new papers.

April 8, 2021

Clayton and I showed up to sign the new contract and the FIRST person we see is Amir! I was so SHOCKED and MADI was lied to and deceived again!! The finance manager came out to get us, I said I thought Amir was let go? He said I thought so too, I am just as shocked as you are! He walked us into an office and went and got Adriana with the new contract. I said, I thought Amir was let go. She said that is what I thought too, he hasn't been here all week and I was surprised to see him as well. I explained to her all the things I have mentioned in this email and told her how I feel lied to, deceived and taken advantaged of. She went through the contract, I asked her if Hyundai was buying back my loan and creating a new one for me she said yes, I said so do you guys own this car now? She said no, the old contract is still valid. I asked her if I don't sign the new contract what happens she said you will be stuck with the old contract. I said because what I really want to do is leave you guys with the car, I told her that this has been the worst car buying experience I have ever had and I am very disappointed. We signed she offered to fill up our tank with gas and then forgot to do it. I reminded the finance manager and he ran around for about 15-20 minutes trying to find the gas card and who was going to take us to fill the tank. Well by that time we were SICK of waiting, SICK of being there and we said never mind we are leaving and we left a man came out after us and said I can do it, it will only take a few more minutes. We said no, we are done!!

Amir needs to undergo some customer services training for all his BS and have to give his commission check to OUR car loan. I am also aware that I can file a BBB complaint that may affect your rating. At this point I don't know if that really bothers you guys or not. I was under the impression that you were a dealership steeped in providing good and honest customer service.

We definitely deserve an apology, a better deal on the Kona, and more than one tank of gas. What we went through was ridiculous, and horrible customer service and it was from all areas/department at your dealership!

I look forward to hearing from you and that you have some good news for us that will change my AWFUL experience to at least a good experience!
