Honesty when you need it
I inherited a car that has been in my family for 50+ years. All of us are so attached to it, like a cherished heirloom. Scott and his team were kind enough to look at it and give me an assessment of what it would take to get it back on the road safely. He was kind, he was honest and he told me that no amount of money would make this car safe to drive. It was hard to hear, but it was what I needed to hear so that I could move on. I appreciate his candor. He could have taken me for a ride for a bunch of money and left me with an undrivable car…but he didn’t.

Honest & Conscientious Repair

Major upgrade of my MGB
I bought a 1980 MGB last year. After getting it running, I was looking for someone to make it more fun to drive. It had great bones, but previous owners had done some things that made it hard to drive. I wanted to replace the original transmission with a Miata 5 speed and install power steering to help with the wider tires on the car.

I’m so glad I found Scott at Chequered Flag! On top of the modifications I wanted, he suggested some other enhancements that have totally changed the fun factor and reliability of the car.

The team there have turned a 45 year old, quirky sports car into a 2025 machine that’s a hoot to run around in!

Greatly appreciate Scott and crew not only solving my cooling problem but also checking over for other issues and fixing them. Quick and Competent repair of minor body damage
Scott was able to squeeze me in to repair the front end underbody shield on my wife’s ‘22 Sonata. Shaun replaced the damaged corner section with a piece of black sheet metal and screwed everything back together. It’s good as new.
Chequered Flag has also performed an engine/transmission swap and other significant mechanical upgrades to my ‘65 Mustang. Scott, Shaun and Shane are extremely friendly, honest and true scholars at their craft. Chequered Flag is the only shop that will ever work on the Mustang. I would strongly recommend this shop to owners of all vehicles, but especially those who own an American or foreign vintage/classic vehicle.

Thorough and Thoughtful
Scott and Shane were very thorough in completely rewiring every electrical circuit in my daughters 72 El Camino. The new system is robust and supports the many modern upgrades to the car. Really nice guys that know their stuff!
