Honest, hardworking, and very competitive with price
In an earlier blog on this page, I mentioned the generally accepted economic fact that car dealers make more profit ‘servicing’ their cars they do by ‘selling’ them. That is, they record a minimal profit on individual car sales but ‘servicing’ the cars they sell becomes a very profitable constant stream of income (almost a form of an ‘annuity’) for them.
As car owners can see in their car ‘service manual’ (every x-thousand-miles) includes a series of ‘inspections’ for items like: oil leaks, lubrication, oil changes, tire rotation, brake-pads, various air filters, etc. Car owners understand that all these items ‘may’ need an inspection. But they don’t understand that many of the items ‘do not’ necessarily need to be replaced.
Please allow me to provide some ‘data’ to verify my statement. My wife recently took her car to the car dealership, and she was given a proposed price of over $2,000 to service her car. She asked Mark and AJ at Cordero’s Auto Repair to review the validity of the dealerships proposed fee.
In summary, Mark and AJ (at Cordero’s Auto Repair) responded with a fee of less than one-half the price quoted by the car dealership. Please, believe me. You can’t make this stuff up. I have been dealing with Cordero for some time. I have always found them to be honest, straight-forward professional, and cheaper than the car dealerships I have dealt with.
