This is the second time i have used Dennis Automotive. The manager Mark is very knowledgeable and explained what is needed and why it should be replaced. i have spent more than $3500 twice at this establishment for major transmission issues and lots more. The are not out to gouge the customer. They charge a fair price w excellent service. In fact, its interesting aftermarket repairs can actually be replaced w better parts than original auto or truck manufacturers transmission components. i have friends who recommended Dennis expertise and its worth the wait letting them do the repair than other repair shops!
I GIVE THESE SUPER PROFESSIONAL GUYS 4 THUMBS UP👍👍👍👍!!!

Quality worksmanship
Dennis Automotive replaced the engine and transmission on my older truck. Finding quality parts was difficult, but they did it. They were open and honest about decisions we had to make. The resulting truck runs better than it ever has
Engine Replacement & Repair Of Fuel Tank Filling Issues
Unfortunately our 2013 Tahoe engine failed at 144K due to the AFM feature (big OEM issue with these 5.3L engines). Also had been having issues filling the gas tank.
Brought it to Dennis Automotive for engine replacement and troubleshooting of the gas tank filling.
Mark’s knowledge and his teams work was exceptional and I’m pleased with the outcome. It did take longer than I expected but with our Tahoe’s issues and their workload it was understandable.
I most certainly recommend Dennis Automotive for mechanical transmission, A/C and electronics repair! Very personable/down-to-earth staff and their expertise in this area of repair truly separates them from their competition. It was a pleasure working with them.
I'm a person who likes for the mechanic to be honest with you and not yet that's the person I am
I really want to say tank you to Mike n the other mechanics that did the work on my car but most of all I want to thank you guys for being so patient with me and for taking the time out to really see what was going on with my car.
2020 Chevy Malibu. Running rough on idle and cutting off when not on Auto Stop. Turns out the PCV system was all clogged due to Sam's performing several oil changes and refilling engine without correct synthetic engine oil. Dennis automotive performed a fairly good job by cleaning out the PCV system including a hose that was also clogged. Originally I was informed by another automotive service shop that the transmission was leaking transmission fluid into the fuel injection system. Although I've never heard of this, it was decided to bring the car to Dennis Automotive since they specialize in transmission related problems. Turns out the transmission was not the issue at all. And although the car was left running very well after cleaning PCV system, I was advised to change out the entire valve cover system, which would have brought the total repair to over $2500.00. The one thing that bothered me was that they required a minimum of $250.00 just to diagnose the problem before giving an estimate of repair costs. This allows them to make money regardless of whether you can afford the repair or not. I can understand charging for the work required to diagnose, but I thought that $250.00 was a bit high just to tell me what the problem may be. I worked with many mechanics over the years, as my father owned Orleans Auto Supply for over 20 years, which included 7 stores total and including my own mechanic for my Mercedes Benz and have never seen anyone charge such a high fee for a diagnosis. I was also advised that I needed a new battery when the current battery is barely 6 months old and is working very well. It just seems to me that they were looking for ways to perform additional services although the car is now performing very well and will receive proper oil changes from this moment on. I would say that they do good work, but be prepared to spend alot of money. I understand that the technology of engines has changed, but I feel that $2500.00 is a very high amount to charge for a part that obviously would not make a significant in performance improvement as the car is running very well now and no longer cuts off even when not using the Auto Stop feature. They were very courteous and informative, but I did have to call several times as after many days I didn't receive a courtesy call to inform me as to the status of the vehicle. I realize that the work load currently being experienced there is very high, but at least one person should be assigned to strictly keep customers informed about their vehicle. Thank you.
