Inexperienced
I sat for 4 hours watching a mechanic install an electric fuel pump, which once installed didn't work, due to the lack of using a fuel pressure regulator, which was recommended by the fuel pump manufacturer. After watching an inexperienced mechanic install, then disconnect the fuel pump, the bill came. I was charged $625 for a fuel pump install that is not working. I suggested a fuel pump regulator, cause the fuel pump was rated at 4 to 6 psi and the carburetors could only handle 2.5 to 3 psi, which is common sense. I will never let them work on my vehicles again.
