Bad Faith
New 2014 Elantra was advertised online for $16,610 (regularly $25,610, less $7,500 dealer discount, less $1,500 rebate). I viewed the online window sticker. I confirmed via email that the car was available and made an appointment. I drove just over 100 miles round trip to find out that the price was actually $25,609 ($16,610 plus $8,999 in dealer markups, now noted on the car window sticker that aren't listed on the online window sticker)!
Then, after that, they tried to sell me a "new" 2015 Elantra that then turned out to be a "wind-down" that had 3,000 miles on it. Apparently the past owner's financing didn't go thru so the car was returned. But they wanted to sell it to me for the same price as an actual new/no-low miles 2015 model. And they indicated they would only give me either the rebate or the low APR but not both, even with excellent credit.
As I was leaving, they asked me to look at a used Sonata that clearly had been in an accident (very visible damage with dents & missing paint) & the sales guy had to nerve so say to my face that it had not been in an accident! Ridiculous! Will never consider this dealer again.
