Dishonest advertised pricing
Here’s a Yelp review that gets your point across clearly and professionally while still showing your frustration:

I visited Fontana Hyundai today to look at a used 2023 Hyundai Palisade that was advertised online through AutoTrader for around $31,300. When I arrived, the sticker price on the vehicle was already much higher at about $37,000. After speaking with the salesperson, I was told they would “honor” or at least try to honor the advertised price, so I stayed, went on a test drive, and spent more time at the dealership.

After the test drive, we sat down to discuss numbers. The salesperson spoke with the manager, who then came back and told me the actual sale price was supposedly $42,000 because of “add-ons” and aftermarket accessories. They said the best they could do was knock a couple thousand off.

This was extremely frustrating and felt misleading. I was upfront from the beginning about my past bad experiences with dealerships wasting my time with inaccurate pricing and lack of transparency. Despite that, they still had me spend time test driving and negotiating even though they apparently had no intention of honoring the advertised price.

Advertising a vehicle at one price online and then dramatically increasing the price once the customer arrives feels dishonest and deceptive. If the vehicle truly has additional accessories or mandatory add-ons, that pricing should be clearly disclosed in the original listing before customers drive out and invest their time.

Very disappointing experience overall.
