Seems it was misdiagnosed twice
I brought in my Jeep as it was overheating. They told me it needed a new radiator and it would be $971. I said proceed as they said I would have it back the same day (Wednesday) no one called Wednesday or Thursday. I called Friday. No one called me. They said it overheated after they replaced the radiator and the only tech that could figure it out was gone till Tuesday. Monday I call. Same. Tuesday I call. (No one called me yet) they said the head gasket is blown and they can't repair it. I have it towed to a dealership. They replace the thermostat at a reasonable price. They stated they did a full diagnostic and the head gaskets were fine. So I could have just replaced the thermostat for 450-500. But I spent $971 on a radiator that was diagnosed by someone Who missed the thermostat and stated the head gasket was blown. I struggle to know if this was even right. When I asked for a picture of the thermostat they could not provide one. Had I not called them im not sure they would have ever called. The guy who checked me in was polite, but the female on the phone was not. So I was without a car over christmas while it sat in a shop that misdiagnosed it twice. Had it in and out of a dealership for half the cost.
