Dishonest service manager and dealer did nothing to correct the situation with the buyer
Purchased a maintenance contract in October 2023 with out-of-state dealer at time of sale for 7 years or 84,000 miles at 6,000 miles intervals. Moved to FL and had oil change and tire rotation performed at Genesis of Daytona Beach. Presented the maintenance contract and was told they did not honor this contract and need to contact selling dealer and have it changed to a maintenance wrap contract. I did so. Genesis of Daytona honored the new contract. At this last oil change and tire rotation I was informed that my contract had been completed and next one would be billed to me. I only had 54,000 miles on the car. I called Genesis Corp. and was told the original maintenance contract should have been honored and there was no need to have it changed to a maintenance wrap contract. Genesis of Daytona should have honored my original 7 years or 84,000 mile contract. The maintenance wrap contract was for intervals of 8,000 miles not the 6,000 miles of original contract. I was never informed. I was under the impression it was for the same coverage as the original contract. Now Genesis of Daytona will do nothing to honor my original contract that Genesis Corp. says they should have honored. Genesis of Daytona decided not to correct the wrong decision by their service manager.
