The vehicle engine FAILED at 1195 miles.
- Jerry's Genesis of Weatherford went SILENT; they provided NO assistance.
- Genesis acknowledged the engine failure (at manufacturing). YET, IT TOOK OVER 6-months to get a warranty reimbursement. We lost >$10K; none of our fault
Through the process we - (1) learned Genesis Sales could not explain how the engine works with both a turbocharger and electric supercharger (2) Genesis Service are BASIC AUTO MECHANICS, with no direct training on specific models. We were Audi owner's for 14 yrs prior to the Genesis purchase. Audi has highly-trained and technically-skilled professionals. (3) We needed to hire an attorney, even though Genesis acknowledged the engine failure was due to manufacturing defects. (4) Genesis did not pay our legal fees (5) We had to maintain Luxury-vehicle Insurance for the whole time the GV80 was in the shop (6-months) ; we were not reimbursed. (6) We had to rent a cheap old toyota Camry for our needs; we are a one-vehicle couple (7) we sealed the Interior and Exterior; non were reimbursed (8) We bought a Cargo liner; it was not reimbursed (8) Our Cash resided with Genesis for 6-months
The Stress and Lost-time were terrible. Genesis and Jerry's and Hyundai are a very Unethical Business. Hyundai/Genesis are based in California; they are the ANTITHESIS of most HONEST TEXAS BUSINESSES. Jerry's businesses do not support after-sales issues.
This story is true ... I am a stage IV cancer patient ... my life was shortened even further by these unethical business people.
Beware ... and GET A STRONG ATTORNEY as soon as you experience a major mechanical failure with this company.
