On September 20, 2025, I reached out to Genesis Houston West about a 2025 GV70 that was listed a few thousand dollars less than the same vehicle at another Genesis location. I first spoke with Miranda, who said she would send me a credit application — but she never did.
Instead, I got a text from the sales director, Brian. Rather than helping me move forward, he discouraged me from applying. He asked me to rate my credit “1–10” and then claimed that a $51,500 vehicle would total $55K–$60K after tax, title, and license — which is misleading, since TTL in Texas is about $3,300 on that price point, not nearly $9,000. When I followed up asking if he wanted to run my credit and present real numbers, both Brian and Miranda ignored me completely.
I have bought cars before and have never been ghosted by a dealership after showing clear interest. For context, I have good credit, so financing was not the issue. After seeing other BBB/Yelp reviews, it seems my experience is part of a broader pattern at this location involving hidden fees and poor follow-up.
This experience left me feeling disrespected, and I cannot recommend Genesis Houston West to anyone looking for honesty or good customer service.
