Mechanic you can trust
I would recommend G&R to everybody. I can always count on them to fix my car and not on extra things that don’t need to be done. It’s pretty far for me to go to see them, but I’m willing to travel the distance for an auto repair place to that I trust.

I had a great experience getting my car repaired here. From the beginning, the staff was professional and courteous. The technician who worked on my car was excellent — knowledgeable, respectful, and took real care in explaining everything to me.

What really stood out was how well they kept me updated. Even when a part came in later than expected, they made sure I knew what was going on and gave me a realistic timeline for when my car would be ready. That kind of communication made all the difference and helped me plan around the delay without stress.

Very Professional and Excellent Work

2016 Yukon
I recently had my GMC Yukon in for transmission rebuild and camshaft replacement. George went above and beyond to ensure the camshaft and torque converter setup was perfect for my specific application. I chose to go with upgraded transmission and camshaft components to handle towing, which meant a bit more work to optimize performance while maintaining all the emissions components.

There were some delays in receiving parts from various vendors, which were beyond their control. However, communication during the process was great, thanks Ryan.

When the engine and transmission were reassembled, every factory part was put back to its original condition, including heat shields, wire looms, and factory trim clips.

The components I had installed were superior to those offered by big-box re-manufacturers, and all this work was completed for approximately the same cost or slightly less. I expected to have much better performance and reliability. I’ll post another review later in the year when I get some mileage on the truck.

If you need repairs, rebuild, or performance upgrades, give GNR the opportunity to get it done.

Highly recommended mechanic shop!!!!

Brought my truck to GNR for the transmission to be built. Once the torque converter came in from circle D, they had the trans out, built, and back on the road in just a few days.

Always the best!
Can’t say enough about these guys! I am a customer for life. Recently refunded 2,000 for some warranty work when they had issues with the warranty company. It took them a couple weeks to get the money, but they stood by there work and made it right for me! If you are in the Greenville area, these should be your go to guys!
