Expected more
Dropped off a vehicle to be diagnosed for codes and rear main seal replacement. They wanted to replace the whole turbo for 4k even though it just needed a new valve for maybe $600 with labor. They were insistent the whole turbo and system needed replacement. Took to dealership. Dealership repaired rear main seal and turbo valve for just under $2500 with rear main seal 8 hour labor charge being what cost the most. $2500 for everything is much better than 4k for just turbo replacement. Greulich's wanted $1500 just in labor for rear main seal. This just reiterates why I always go to the dealership rather than a street mechanic. Uggg.. had such high hopes for this place too. Disapointing.
