After owning my hyundai sonata for 4 years the blower went out. Took car in they diagnosed problem, then another appt installed it. After a couple weeks the blower went out again. Brought in car the third time, this time Tyler said he wanted to keep it and dive deeper. Gave me a loaner over the weekend. June 16th he called and said the fix required a new harness and the charge was 7,200. And since the car had been modified (having a state sanctioned intoxalock company install it) it was not covered under warranty, he also stated that would apply to dash cams. The intoxalock system was removed October of 2022 when I completed my requirement. Since that date I had NO ISSUES!!! Looking at the service sheet the tech admitted that the harness went out as he was working on it. To me a warranty is suppose to be solid. By the way, hyundai does NOT service dash cams or intoxalock systems, so if you do need or want these services. Kiss your warranty goodbye. Living in mn you need windows defrosters and heat. I was unable to have car fixed so my car will pretty much be useless after october, still owing quite a bit on the sonata. I am 68 and a senior citizen, collecting social security. One disastrous experience like this can destroy a life. Please do not go to hyundai or buy one. They should be boycotted for the way they treat the elderly and their loyal customers. This was my second hyundai.
