In January 2019, I purchased a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe and the defective powertrain caused the car to breakdown in WV. The staff at Jenkin Hyundai shared with me that the car had a lifetime warranty. Hyundai then stated that the warranty will not cover the car due to a recall that was issued in 2018. The staff then stated that dealership were not allowed (illegal) to sale you a car without the recall being completed. When I provided the company with the sales document of purchasing the car in 2019, they still denied, the claim making more excuses about fixing my car.
With that said, living in Maryland with my car stuck at the Jenkins dealership, they then send a email of charging me a storage fee of $150 a day. I have seen many companies rip off customers, but the greed and dishonesty of Hyundai is not only disappointing, but hurts because I still have a loan balance on it. So be very careful!
