Replace Knock Sensor
My 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe was at this dealership for almost a month due to code P1326. My service advisor was Kareem. I found out that the knock sensor needed to be replaced. I finally authorized repairs and when I picked up my vehicle my A/C was blowing out hot air. I called them to let them know that my A/C is blowing hot air. I was told by someone named Kyle to bring it back and he made an appointment for me. I take my car back this morning and now I’m being told that I will be charged a diagnostic fee for them to look at the A/C system to see why it’s blowing hot air. I was told that it has nothing to do with the knock sensor. I explained to them that it could be a loose wiring or connector that may have been left unplugged after the installation of the knock sensor. They, being the service manager, Toni and the service advisor Kareem told me that it’s no way that could have happened because the A/C is enclosed and it would be hard to just unplug or knock a wiring loose. They again stated if I wanted to have my vehicle looked at I had to sign and authorize them to do diagnostic testing on the A/C which would be a fee.. What makes me upset is that they didn’t or wouldn’t even acknowledge that they could have done something to cause my A/C to blow hot air. They just wanted to make it a new issue. I know my car has a lot of miles over 275000 to be exact but I keep up with the maintenance on my vehicle to ensure it’s safe for me and my family. Southside Hyundai really disappoint me by the way they handle their customers. It’s not about the customer service anymore it’s all about money at the end of the day. Trust me I don’t mind paying for the service or repairs if it’s a new issue but to not acknowledge that you could have been the reason why my A/C is blowing out warm or hot air is unacceptable.
