Hi Dera, I'm sorry you left frustrated. We purposefully did not charge any hours spent especially for potential repairs that we cannot concretely say will fix the problems experienced. Unfortunately on your vehicle, there are multiple service bulletins stating that this is an ongoing issue that has no confirmed fix. We recommended for you to take it to the dealer. We did not want you to pay for parts and services that would may or may not fix the problem.
I dropped the car off promptly at 8AM. Radio silence until 2PM, when they finally said they test drove it but didn’t hear the sound. I told them: you have to turn the wheel—of course you won’t hear anything driving in a straight line. Two more hours passed. I had to call them back at 4:30PM for an update.
Then came the kicker: they told me they did finally hear the noise after turning the wheel—but said they weren’t sure what to do. Lloyd literally said they checked mechanic forums and that fixing the strut might or might not solve the problem. A 50/50 chance, he said. They even mentioned it might be the shock, which doesn’t align at all with what I know or what the dealership diagnosed.
By 5PM (closing time), I was told the car “seems drivable” and that if the noise bothers me, I can come fix it—but they weren’t sure it would help. No confidence, no real diagnostic work, and zero follow-through. I felt completely brushed off and left with more questions than answers.
If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, go somewhere else. This shop wasted a week of my time and gave me nothing in return but confusion.
