I took my 20 year-old Pontiac into Manning‘s because I suspected the water pump was leaking due to excessive coolant consumption. Bret’s team, not only deduced that I needed a new water pump, but also an intake manifold gasket. Have they not found that chances are good that coolant would’ve leaked into the pan and ruined the bearings along with the engine which still runs like new at 180,000 miles. While they’re at it, they performed some preventive maintenance such as replacing plastic heater hose connections with aluminum and the thermostat since it was handy and inexpensive.
