Scam artists!!!
I would not trust this place to put air in the tires or change my windshield wipers let alone do work on the car. I brought my truck in to get looked at because I was getting a random misfire code on my OBD scanner. They charged like $140 - $150 for the diagnostic and told me the misfire was because I needed to get my O2 sensors replaced for like almost $500. I read online people with similar problems replacing other sensors like the MAP, IAT, Camshaft, Crankshaft and TBP sensors to fix the problem besides if wiring needed to be replaced. Well on 2 different occasions I brought my truck up there to replace those sensors and was charged a hefty price to do the work. I just wanted to see if that would solve the problem I was having. Well on the second occasion when I brought the truck in to replace the sensors I wanted to be replaced, the guy at the front desk went to the back to supposedly check on the price for me. He opens the door while still in the back and asks me why I wanted to replace those sensors. I thought that was odd because as long as I'm paying for it why does that even matter? But I told him the reason anyway and while I'm not 100% sure but pretty sure, I heard him say something to the people in the back like "Everybody thinks they're mechanics now" while he had the door still open. I went ahead and left my truck to get the sensors replaced then got a call a few hours later saying they had to charge me more than the price quoted to me because they had to sodder wires where the wire harness for the Crankshaft sensor was. I was quoted a price near $400 which I thought was high but doable then was told the new price which was closer to $600. Didn't really have much of a choice because they started the work already so I gave them the ok. Well I go pick up the truck and within a few drives I started having problems worst than before and had a blinking check engine light which it wasn't doing before. I checked the code with my OBD scanner and see a new code for the Crankshaft sensor which is what they were supposed to had replaced and replaced bad wiring for it. I instantly take the truck back and tell the guy about the new problems and what code I was seeing on the OBD scanner and he instantly tells me his tech can't do anything unless I get another diagnostic check. I told him I already had a diagnostic check I paid for from them and didn't feel comfortable paying another diagnostic check when I'm getting a code for the part they supposedly just had fixed. The lady behind the desk starts telling me that code doesn't mean that's what's wrong. I told them I wasn't paying for another diagnostic and asked that they just check the work they did since the code is coming from that. I leave the shop after they said they'd look at the work they did and maybe not even 15 minutes later I get a call saying my truck was ready and they didn't see anything wrong on their end. The lady behind the counter says I can pay an extra $200 to try and see if an OEM sensor would solve the problem instead of the aftermarket. At this time I'm fed up because I felt I was treated terribly as a customer that had just spent around $1000 in a month's worth of time so I declined. The lady starts telling me I didn't listen to them advising O2 sensors and that's more than likely why I was having a misfire. I told her if that was the reason I'd come back and apologize. So I ended up getting my truck towed to Perry Street Auto who I've always trusted to get looked at. They end up telling me the problem causing my misfires was the wiring to the Crankshaft sensor which Master Radiator supposedly fixed. I ended up paying $275 to Perry Street Auto to fix this. I took the receipt to Master Radiator and showed the comment from Perry Street Auto saying the Crankshaft sensor wiring was bad and corroded. No kind of apology what so ever. Just a reaction like "Oh it really was the wiring he told us about". Then I was just refunded $135 which she said was the price they charged me for labor for the wiring that they either did a bad job on or didn't do at all. I mean I had to pay another shop an extra $140 plus getting my car towed for something they should have done. They should be just as loud with an apology and making things right as they were with telling me I didn't know what I was talking about. Don't waste your money or time with these scam artists. You've been warned.
