Don’t do it!
I bought a brand new Black Widow about a year ago and had to take it up there a few times. The tailgate step would not come out. They said they fixed it but didn’t. Not a huge deal. Well I had to take it up there again about a month ago for several issues. Both rear shocks were blown, the exhaust mounts were broken, the hood scoops were peeling off, and the back tailgate step was still stuck where it couldn’t be opened. Also had the oil changed, tires rotated, and alignment. Well I pick up the vehicle and they tell me that the tailgate step can’t be repaired bc there is dirt in there. When I go to leave my back driver side tire has 20 psi. I send a message to my service manager with no reply. I air the tire up and have it patched. There was a small hex headed, allen looking wrench stuck in the tire. Send another message to them again. Still no reply. They said they aligned my vehicle and the steering wheel is shaking going down the highway. Going to get it re-aligned. I most certainly will not be buying my next vehicle from here. Go somewhere else. Probably why they have so many unsold vehicles that have to be jump started to test drive.

Bad Faith Sales
Went in to look at a couple of Toyota Corolla LE models thinking I had found a great deal on a newer car with low miles. Alas, the deal was too good to be true, as per usual.

Despite the dealerships multiple poor reviews here, on other websites, and Reddit, plus word of mouth in the tri-city area, I disregarded the reputation and went in and took a lot at the cars anyway, hoping to prove them wrong. Upon review, the dealership provided a clean CarFax on both the 2020 Corolla and 2022 LE models that were being considered. When test driving the 2020 Corolla, the wheels were squeaking when it turned. Also, because it had higher mileage than the 2022 model, decided to go with the 2022 model for a few thousand more instead.

Fortunately, I had the common sense to take the car in for a pre-purchase check up at my local, trusted mechanic of over a decade to find that the car had been in a wreck, which included suspension and body work. My mechanic pulled out a *water bottle* with paint on it that matched the exterior of the car from *under* the hood, in addition to fixing a part on it that was loose (not his job to do; he is just a kind person). My mechanic proceeded to tell me that the car was worth significantly less than its sticker price and the dealer needed to reduce the costs for it to be worth the purchase, therefore it would need to be negotiated down. Mind you, I paid $70 for this independent inspection, which was more money lost because of this dealerships deceit and/or negligence. My mechanic recommended paying no more than $13,000 for the sale; however, I was willing to pay more within reason.

When I went back into the dealership and told my salesperson what happened, Mike, the manager became outraged, saying he would not reduce the price and that his service technicians, many of which are rated poorly in these and other comments, were not to be talked badly about. I was simply pointing out those reviews are what made me take my car into *my mechanic.* (Also noteworthy: Before allowing me off the lot to take the car to my mechanic, he attempted to persuade me not to, assuring me the technicians had already looked at it.) I again explained that a water bottle had been literally taken out of the engine with white paint on it from the previous repairs and he became so angry that he was confrontational to the point I thought he would become physically aggressive, telling me to leave, even though I was willing to negotiate a lower, fair price when I walked back in.

Folks, there is a reason why this dealership has the reputation that it does. I can understand how a CarFax can be inaccurate and that a clean report may not have been intentionally falsified. With that said, the dealership, especially one equipped with service technicians, has a responsibility to look at the vehicle they are selling to you if they are to do so in good faith. Take that as you will.

If you are going to buy a vehicle from this dealer, please have the sense to have it checked out by an independent mechanic whom you trust that has no vested interests in your purchase. If the dealership refuses, walk away.

I will say that John Harvey, the salesperson that assisted the review, was extremely kind and pleasant. He was never pushy, and he apologized deeply for the negative experience. It is a shame that good people such as John lose sales because of those in poor management, and a shame that good people cannot trust those to conduct business in good faith. I genuinely wish John the best, as it is rare to find a car salesperson who has integrity such as he does.

Bait and switch price tactics
Two times car serviced when price changed from quote. Each time told “didn’t know” correct price - each time told getting discount that made it less but still quite a bit higher than quoted amount. Had a recall notice and made excuse as to why that wasn’t completed. Paid $20 higher for less work. One time mistake - twice bait and switch. If you want a service department that has integrity look further. You won’t find it at metro ford.

Do not trust Metro Ford service department.
Dropped off a 2014 Ford Transit for another recall. The low coolant warning light has been on for a couple of months, but the engine coolant has never been low and this Transit does not have a low coolant level sensor. When I get the call that the work for the recall has been completed, I'm also told the vehicle has low coolant, is in LImp Home mode, has major engine problems and could diagnosis for a fee. I told the service rep that it does not have low coolant and there is no low coolant level sensor on that vehicle. The Rep just repeated herself low coolant level, limp home mode and major engine problem. I refused the offer to diagnosis informed her I would be there soon to pick it up. When I get there the vehicle is staged ready for pickup. I get the keys, start the vehicle and the check engine light is on. I turn off the vehicle, go inside and tell the rep that I got the keys from about the CEL. The service rep that had told me that the vehicle had problems was within hearing distance and immediately spoke up and said I was told the vehicle had low engine coolant and was in limp home mode. At that point I raised my voice so all service reps and customers could hear and told them the vehicle was running fine when I dropped it off, the check engine light was not on and the engine coolant has never been low. All of a sudden it appeared she wanted me out of there because she turned around and asked a tech to clear the code. Tech brings a code reader/scanner and erases the code. I leave and the vehicle is driving the same as before, no Limp Home mode, coolant is full and no major engine problems. The paper work I received indicated the recall work had be completed but nothing was mentioned that there were any other problems with the vehicle. I would never take any vehicle to Metro Ford for service outside recalls and warranty.

Very Poor Service, Not Trustworthy
For more than a year, I have tried to get Metro Ford to complete warranty work and recalls on my F-150 Raptor. For months, Metro Ford service reps and the then service manager repeatedly and falsely represented that they had submitted my claims to Ford and were waiting for approval to make the necessary repairs. After six months or more of unreturned phone calls, I was contacted by Kevin Steffensen in service who told me that he could find absolutely no record of my warranty claims and that the service manager and service rep that I had been dealing with had been fired. Kevin then assured me that there was a new service crew and a new manager, Scott Parrish, who would see to it that all of my claims were promptly resolved. Three of four warranty and recall claims were finally completed in December of last year (2021) with a promise by Kevin that he and Scott Parrish would diligently follow up the fourth warranty claim with Ford right after the holidays. A month later, I called to follow up at which time Kevin said he and Scott Parrish had forgotten about my claim and apologized. Once again, Kevin assured and promised me that Metro Ford would follow up on my claim and that he would get back to me the following week. Another month has passed and I have not received a call, text, or email from anyone about my claim. If you have a choice, do not do business with Metro Ford. Their service department cannot be trusted and the people who work there have no regard for their customers.

Awful Experience
Awful experience.

I reached out via email about a Ford Edge I was interested in. Madison Black responded and confirmed that they had the vehicle and invited me to come in for a “VIP appointment, where we promise to deliver a world class experience designed to save you both time and money!”

We talked throughout the day and I told her I would be in later that evening. She said that was great and told me to ask for her floor manager, Cody. I arrived and tried to find Cody…with no luck. After about 15 minutes of waiting, a lady told me that they actually didn’t have the car on the lot, because it sold last month (December). Cody never came out to greet me or to apologize for lying about having the car. The general manager was apparently very upset according to the lady who broke the news to me, but he also stayed in his office and never came out to speak with me.

I confirmed the vehicle’s availability, made an appointment, and drove more than 20 miles. They had a complete disregard for my time. Another manager, Michael Barnett, reached out to me the following day asking me to rate my experience at the dealership. I responded to him and he never responded.

Fortunately, the folks at Reynolds Ford took care of me and made for a really pleasant buying experience. 10/10 recommend Jeremy Cash at Reynolds Ford of OKC!

Great service, no funny business!
Brian Chan worked with us and he was extremely friendly and helpful. He didn't try to sell us anything we didn't ask for and there was no funny business on his end or the sales department. Great Dealership for serious buyers!

They don't return calls
Good luck trying to buy a truck from them. I called about a truck on their website that I want to purchase and can't get a call back. Spoke to one sales person and he said he would talk to his manager and called me back in a few minutes and that was over 24 hours ago and still no call. Called later and spoke with another person and about the truck and he said he would have his manager call me about the price or he would call me back and no call back. I guess their ad prices are false and when you want to buy at their price they just don't reply.

Solid deal on a solid vehicle
Last weekend, I flew from South Bend, Indiana to Oklahoma City, to purchase a 2011 Nissan Pathfinder from Metro Ford OKC. I was working with Brian Chan. Buying a car long-distance is a bit of a mixed bag, so they sent me additional pictures and took time to answer my questions. Brian was great to work with. Between the time we first spoke and when we completed the deal (roughly two weeks), he called me every few days to check and see if there was anything he could help with. On my travel day, he checked in with me during my layover, to make sure my flights were going as planned, and when I arrived, he was already there waiting for me, with my car. The paperwork was prepared and waiting, and I was on my way in about an hour, to drive the 900 miles home. The car was fairly represented on the online listings, and I feel like they gave me a solid deal on a solid vehicle. Brian did everything he could do to make it easy for me, and I would not hesitate to deal with him again.
