Severely Price Gouged for replacement of Fuel Pump!
I was beyond disappointed and shocked with the amount that this service center attempted to charge me for replacing my fuel pump, along with the cost for a diagnostic! When I was told that my bill was $1510.25 to replace a fuel pump, I could not believe it! Prior to them quoting me this price, I researched the average cost of a fuel pump module assembly, and the range was between $160 and $520. I called my dealership for Dodge and they quoted me a price of $517.16 for the whole assembly. When I looked at my itemized quote from Milstead, they quoted a price of $900.61 for a fuel pump! I took my vehicle to my mechanic, and the car runs perfectly fine. My bill came to $428!!!!! To add insult to injury, they charged $196 for a diagnostic of my vehicle! These prices are simply unheard of and are reminiscent of extreme price gouging! Even the amount they were charging for labor alone, $423.92 was a few dollars less than the total cost to replace my fuel pump assembly! Beyond disappointed and dismayed is an understatement
