Very poor service
Hyundai of Murfreesboro is the most shameless, deceitful, and predatory dealership I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Their service department is nothing but a fraudulent money pit, designed to rip off every single customer who walks through their doors.

They have the audacity to mark up their parts by 25% compared to their own parts department. That’s not just dishonesty—it’s straight-up highway robbery. It’s a calculated scam, preying on people who trust them with their vehicles. When confronted, they don’t even bother to respond.

Let’s be real: this isn’t just bad business—this is outright theft. These people are nothing more than crooks in uniforms, hiding behind the Hyundai brand while they squeeze every last dollar they can out of unsuspecting customers. They have zero integrity, zero shame, and zero respect for anyone who walks through their doors.

If you bring your vehicle here, prepare to be scammed, overcharged, and treated like an ATM. They don’t care about you, your car, or basic human decency—they only care about draining your wallet.

Hyundai of Murfreesboro should be shut down for their disgusting business practices. I wouldn’t trust these soulless con artists to fix a bicycle, let alone a car. There are plenty of honest mechanics out there—this is NOT one of them.

DO NOT GIVE THESE SCAMMERS A SINGLE DOLLAR. They are parasites, bottom-feeders, and absolute disgrace to the industry. Stay far, far away.

If you have already used them, ask for the price you paid for parts and then call the parts department to see how much they have taken you for….you will be truly shocked.

Amy Hale - a salesperson you can trust!
I bought my car from Amy and drove to middle Tennessee to do this. Dealing with the salesperson is always stressful for me. Amy put my mind at ease and never steered me wrong. Thank you Amy for making the process go easier!

Please go see Richard!
I’m positive that the other sales person in Hyundai of Murfreesboro are equally great, BUT RICHARD!!!!!! Richard Oliver is your man.

No cringe salesman tactic and extremely helpful. My process was smooth, he made us feel welcomed and really pushed for us to get the deal that we got. I am extremely grateful and happy with my purchase.

I am a first time car buyer, my anxiety was through the roof, and I’ve been so used to Buy Here, Pay Here car lots. I was treated with kindness and reassurance. He was honest with me and I was honest with him, in return, I was able to bring home a vehicle that I thoroughly enjoy.

The finance department was also amazing, no upselling and was very transparent of what I am getting myself into.

The team here is excellent, you will not regret it.

And I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY HYUNDAI TUCSON!!

Thank you so much Richard for making this happen for me.

Watch your contracts
This dealership only provided me with one key to my vehicle, sold me an extended service agreement on the key. The extended service agreement refuses to honor agreement because it states the dealership must supply two keys. The dealership is refusing to pay for a second key.

My salesman Noah was very kind and informative. I would recommend him to any prospective car buyer!
However, I recommend the following for the service department:

There’s no value in delivering any kind of communication, whether written, verbal, formal, or casual, if the message doesn’t come across clearly. Building effective communication skills takes time, but the effects are worth the effort at every level of your organization.

Poor response and communication once purchase was over
First of all, we drove about 230 miles from home to look at several used vehicles in the Nashville / Murfreesboro area. We fell in love with, and decided to purchase a jeep from Hyundai on a Friday night. Paperwork and financing were done quickly as we were keeping the sales and finance people past closing time. On our way home the next day, I realized that we were charged for $135 more than the agreed upon sale price. They charged us for the price of the vehicle as it was listed the day before (Thursday) our sale. The sale price the day of sale (Friday) was $135 less. I called the finance person, sales person and left numerous voice mails. I eventually was able to speak to a different finance person who promised me to try and get my issues resolved and get back to me the next day. Never hear from anyone since. I guess I am out the $135 plus tax, plus I had other issues with transferring a licence plate. Initially, the sales and finance people were quite enthusiastic about our purchasing the car, but it seems that once the sale was done and over with, they did not feel it necessary to return calls or refund the difference. I blame myself partially for not capturing the error, but I feel that they should still honor the price difference.

No pride in work and awful turnaround
Service department is an absolute JOKE. Recent snow storms left me with damage to my vehicle, and my first mistake was thinking I was doing the right thing by having work done on my 2023 Kona directly at the dealership. We dropped the car off on a Thursday to see exactly what needed to be fixed. Days go by, a week goes by and no one has even LOOKED at the car yet. It’s just been sitting for over a week. And you can absolutely FORGET getting an sort of update. Even the wild goose chase of phone calls you’ll make will lead you nowhere. When I finally do get ahold my advisor I’m told they haven’t looked at the car yet and, “it could be a situation where we get the car up there and there’s no issue at all”. Why would you even have my car right now if there’s no issue?? After getting ahold of the service manager, we’re told a completely different story that they looked at the car the day after they got it, and we’re waiting to hear if we were going through insurance or not to proceed. No one ONCE asked us this nor told us it was the reason for the hold up until going up the chain of command. Two weeks later after running “diagnostic” and $1300 my tire rod is replaced and I can finally pick the car up. When I get there I ask if I can take the car around the parking lot before paying to make sure it’s driving correctly. They then look at me like I have 3 heads and say “no one’s ever asked me that,” $1300 and I’m not supposed to make sure it drives first? In the lap around the parking lot everything seems fine until it starts making a noise a couple days later. I drop the car off to them AGAIN and they have it about 3 hours and can’t hear any noise, so I need to make a 3rd appointment to come back and ride with the technician. The day I originally tried to bring the car back for the 3rd time I called 5 separate times trying to see if the technician was in, and left a voicemail for my advisor and never once got a call back. One of those 5 calls I somehow got put through to sales, who tell me if the cars making a noise i should just trade it in! My year 1 old vehicle I should trade in because it’s making a noise. The following day I finally get ahold of someone and the technician hears the noise now at my 3rd appointment, so I need to bring it in for a 4th appointment so they can see why it’s making the grinding noise. I made the appointment for 8 AM, get a text confirmation for my 8:40 AM Appointment, but neither detail matters because they didn’t look at it until noon. Once again I go through my day of the goose chase trying to get any update, and finally get one at 4:30 pm. And SURPRISE they missed the first time they had the car for 2 weeks that additionally my wheel is bent, and I need new wheel bearings. They confidently let me leave the dealership like that and drive that vehicle for weeks at this point. Despite supposedly running diagnostic the first time. This slipped past them because “you can’t tell it’s bent just looking at it, it’s once you get the wheel off” I ask how the replaced my tire rod without taking the wheel off, “oh no we took it off”. So that’ll just be $2500 more for the wheel, and they aren’t sure if that’s the ONLY reason the cars making a noise, once we fix this we may find even more issues. They have no pride in their work, no timeline for completion on anything, and you may or may not leave with a safe operating vehicle.

Terrible service
After waiting 7 months on my vehicle, I still have yet to have my engine replaced under warranty. The dealership doesn't seem to prioritize their customers appropriately by reimbursement of a loaner or rental vehicle. I've been led on for a very long time being "promised" it won't take much longer, that was said by Tyler, their warranty administrator, who I was told by Cory he left due to disagreements with the dealership's views... I have called nearly every week and it is extremely hard to get a straight forward answer. Beating around the bush doesn't get you anywhere when other local Hyundai dealerships have told me how they treat their customers and quickly prioritize their needs. I called Hyundai of cool springs as was told it take no more than 6 weeks for warranty work and engine replacement to be conducted and they've had several people from Murfreesboro Hyundai transfer their vehicles because they weren't being serviced. I tried having my vehicle transferred but was told the warranty process would not go through due to it halfway being conducted at the Murfreesboro location. This is beyond ridiculous and I do not recommend this dealership at all.

Car for Grand Daughter
On Saturday afternoon, we walked into the dealership, Amy Hale was assigned as our sales person. She listened to us and suggested a car in our price range. We tried it, liked it and bought it. We gave it to our grand daughter. She was thrilled with it. Amy checked with us after the sale. We sent pictures to her. A few days later there was an issue with the car. She contacted Bobby Carter, her Sales Manager, and he authorized the repair at no charge. Overall, great experience.

I was charged but the vehicle was not fixed.
I have been a customer for many years. However there is a noise that is very obvious from the transmission area. I was charged a $140 diagnostic fee but nothing was fixed. They claimed they did not hear anything. However it was making the noise still when I picked it up.

Excellent Service!
Time is of the essence when it comes to many vehicle repairs, like a sunroof during the rainy Tennessee season, and Tyler Johnston & Joe Phinney understood that just as much as we did. They handled everything flawlessly and I am so thankful for Hyundai of Murfreesboro's service dept. I cannot thank them enough and we look forward to returning, hopefully under better circumstances.
