Nortown is the best.
I have a 30-year old Allante that Nortown maintains perfectly. I recently drove 500 miles at mostly 80 MPH. It ran like a top.

Quick and considerate
They did a great job at diagnosing the issues with my car and talking me through the needed repairs. They then also showed me the bad parts after the repair so I could see what the issue was. I needed a decent amount of work done and they were able to get it all done in less than a day.

Dropped in on them, and they helped me out
I found this shop because I needed a minor service. I was driving by and took a chance that they would have 30 minutes to change some bulbs for me.

Great experience, nice employees. Will go back for more significant work as needed in the future.

Good but not great.
Since this was part of CarMax Care they should have tried to lobby for the customer which I felt they didn’t do enough. CarMax should also have been more communicative as to coverage as it took a week to get the issue resolved. Disappointed on no on taking accountability and the client getting stuck with a $506.72 bill. Not happy and time wasted and Uber $100 expense for my daughter to get to and from classes at UIC. Just not what to expect overall as customer service is much more than smiles but more than that.

HI FRITZ , I AM SORRY WE DIDNT FIND ANYTHING ELSE WRONG WITH THE CAR  I BELEIVE YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD IT TOWED BACKED TO CARMAX SINCE YOU EXPLAINED TO US THAT THEY JUST CHANGED THE BATTERY WHICH WOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY AT THEIR LOCATION , I DIDNT KNOW YOU WERE USING UBER . WHEN IT CAME IN EVEN THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER TOLD US HE TRIED TO JUMP START IT AND SAID IT THE ELECTRICAL WAS SHORTING OUT MAKING CLICKING NOISE , WE WERE HONEST AND ONLY REPLACED THE BATTERY THAT YOU AGREED THAT WE DO AT THAT TIME AND WE DID NOT SELL A ALTERNATOR OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT WOULD BE DISHONEST . SORRY

All work needed
I have been going to Nortown and my family for many years and always have had great work done at better than dealer prices and family friendly feeling . They do all work needed for my vehicle and families. It’s amazing there still doing same great work since 1978 . Jimmy the owner and crew are the best .
