On March 13, 2025. I
paid Pep Boys $270 to put in a evap canister vent valve. to solve an engine light problem.
After the repair, the engine light was off, and I was told for the system to reset I needed to drive it and it would reset.
Then I took it to be tested and failed. I went back to Pep Boys who would not guarantee their work and said they'd charge me for another smoke test and $110 to diagnose the engine light. So
I left. Went to Midas, the part Pep Boys replaced was either the wrong part or installed incorrectly. Back to starting over again at Midas. Pep Boys gave me an estimate for $2500 for brakes, I got done for $1000 less I will never go back to Pep Boys. And this is well known to the AutoZone Parts next door! Midas charged $422 to do the work PepBoys failed to do, and yet charged me $92 for a $60 part and
NEVER put it in. Which Midas pointed out immediately. It’s kind of pointless
