Bad experience with dragged out time frame and left with future problems
Honestly I would not recommend this place to get your auto needs done, the Owner was the one I spoke to and seemed understanding and trusting, until I actually had the work being down to my car, I needed my a/c evaporator core changed since my car was not cooling and there was an odd smell coming from the vents.
1) “the time frame” I was given was not the reality of it and was extended farther, I was told my car would be ready by a certain date and it wasn’t, I was told nothing of the extension, I called and they said they would have it ready by the next day, again I waited and I wasn’t noticed of anything and the day passed, I called the following day and they said they would be done by the end of the day and will work on it first thing in the morning, once again that was a lie. I had to keep calling just to be dragged on. So much time wasted as if I didn’t have work or other things to manage around the time frame I was given.
2) “Issues with the car before leaving the lot” Once I actually got my car back there were several issues, the dashboard was not fully placed back on and we’re sticking up, the lining along the passenger door was hanging off, and center arm rest was lose and I could just glue it side to side and almost lift it, a panel underneath the side passenger side was laying on the floor and I was missing a trim for my windshield for some reason and there were still tools in my car.
3) “The biggest issues after driving off” I noticed a day after was the fact that my front passenger side floor as well as the back passenger side floor were completely wet and I mean soaking wet, at first I thought maybe it was just a minor mistake were a window was left open when they worked on it so I cleaned it up. The following day it was wet yet again, I called and had it brought back in and they said it was a tube or so that was loose or came off so they took care of it and I thought that would be it, it was still happening.
4) “the continued problems” I had afterwards from the “work” I got from PROMOTOR CAR has cost me time money and stress, one of the initial things I noticed when I got my car back was my car was suddenly pulling towards the right for some reason. I notified them of it but they denied any fault and said they didn’t mess with the alignment. So I said fine okay and gave them the benefit of the doubt, I didn’t have the spare money to do an alignment at the time so I had to set it aside till eventually I did. I had to replace some tires as well because of inner damage it was receiving from the car pulling, I was speaking to other mechanics about the possible continuing issues since I had to get multiple alignments to this day as well as replace multiple tires throughout the year. Initially I had asked the owner for a video he had sent of the car being worked on cause I saw my entire dashboard off as well as my steering wheel, I did not save it and he never sent it again, the reason why that matters is because I was told what could possibly be the issue is when they were working on the car and putting it back together, they did it incorrectly and/or rushed and didn’t have the tires and the steering wheel aligned so my car felt off and as to why I had to hold my steering wheel tilted to go straight as well as to why the alignments i got done never solved the problem and as to another issue I had which all makes since now which is my rear view camera does not line up with the tires or steering wheel, when my wheels are straight it shows on the camera as if I’m attempting to turn to the left and when I have the lines straight on the camera my tires are tilted. They denied ever messing or taking off the steering wheel to get the initial job or replacing the a/c evaporator core. I looked into it and spoke to other mechanics telling me that’s not possible since it’s a big job and it all has to come off including the airbag to replace the evaporator. It seems they were just trying to deny any fault on the extended problems they left me with or mistakes they made.
