Their word means nothing.
We spoke with a sales rep named Howie regarding a Ram 2500 truck. We said we were very interested in this vehicle as it seemed to be at a solid price. The "problem" was that we lived 170 miles away, and for us to make the drive, we needed the vehicle reserved. "Not a problem", says Howie. "Let me also send you a link so we can save time on the Financials, and everything will be in place when you arrive. It sounded fine to me so I filled out the form, and then got in my truck for nearly 3 hours while we drove to Merced. When I got to the dealership around 3 PM, some flunky informed me that the truck had just sold. Of course, Howard the Coward was nowhere to be found. The manager shook my hand and said he was sorry. He didn't even offer to fill my tank or give me a fair price on a similar vehicle. Needless to say, a business that doesn't keep their word is a business that you should have no business with.
