This guy working with us now conveniently didn’t have the truck we wanted so tried to sell us relentlessly on a truck I didn’t want. When we tried to leave he made promises of a truck in transit that he would hold for me with a non refundable $1000 holding fee.
I asked for the price quote and breakdown and he said he couldn’t give it to me unless I paid this deposit because I could go somewhere else with it and get a lower price.
After I said no way and tried to leave again he said that he found a truck that matched my description and that it would be price reduced because it had extras but he would give it to me at the price I was quoted.
He pulled the truck out and it had nothing that I had requested and was the one color I said I didn’t want (white) cuz I reminded me of my husbands work truck.
This sales guy proceeded to give me 8,000 off and he said he would do blackout wheels, tint, trd package etc etc if I would take the white truck so I said yes I will do it if you can get me all of that.
Next thing I know I’m surrounded by 3 sales guy and someone who I later find out is the manager and he comes out smirking followed by his posse. He leads the conversation by asking us who was asking for all of these ridiculous requests? I told him who indeed promised these things to us and they were not suggested by us. He said that he cannot do those things and I have to buy the truck as is. I said ok thank you for wasting our time. He kept asking me if I was buying it or not after I said no many times and we tried leaving. They followed us trying to get us back inside all the way to our car. They use manipulative and shady tactics.
We went to another dealership who had what they said they did and it was a smooth and easy experience.
