Scam me to pay to fix the noise that the dealer service initially
Bought this car here at the same dealership and service here. First scheduled maintenance was done, the I discover a small clinking noise from outside maybe the wheel or something. When I brought it back to the dealer for my second scheduled maintenance and mentioned the issue, the Service Adviser told me that that could be something dirty or lose and they will do a 39 pts inspection on the car. Took the car back the same day, noise went away for 10 minutes, then the noise came back. Took it into service two weeks later and mentioned the issue, the Service Adviser said he heard the noise too, but he could only write-up how I described the noise to their Technician. However, there will be a $200 diag charge. I go wait a minute, the issue is coming from your maintainenance service and why you charge me for something the dealer created. The Service Adviser said, it will not cost you if this is under a warranty or if any related insurance work. I asked the Service Adviser to go out for a drive to hear the noise, the Service Adviser refused to and will take the car in for their technician to do the test drive. Couple hours later, I got the call from the Service Adviser that the technician didn't find anything. I asked for the Technician to go for a test drive, but got refused and was asked for me to bring the car back if I hear any noise. That leave me no choice to pay the $200 diag fee and $6 credit card transaction fee which this is a first time I get charge for a credit card transaction fee. Do you expect me to carrying cash all the time and ready to pay for the service with cash? I think Hyundai made good car but thing like this which I never get it from other dealer will make me turn head.
