My father passed away last year. He sought George's services to repair his 1992 Honda Accord stationwagon for several years. George said that if he could do anything for my family, he would.
George offered to help us sell two used cars: a 2009 Hyundai Sonata GLS (VIN: 5NPET46C29H540889), and a 2005 Chrysler Town-Country (VIN: 2C8GP64L75R268203). This was in September 2019. Since then, he has sold the Hyundai (the title transferred November 2019 per California DMV, and again January 2020 per Colorado DMV), and he has "someone coming by to pick up the van."
For the past 6 months, week after week he finds excuses not to provide us with the money ($8,000). Sometimes he doesn't even have an excuse, and just says "come by next week." He has now begun avoiding our phone calls.
I can't say it any more simple than this: George SOLD OUR CARS, and STOLE THE MONEY. He is ignoring our requests to return the keys to the remaining car at the shop. We are now pursuing legal action.
